NID DAT (Prelims) 2017 Student Feedback for MDes Admission
Most of the students we spoke to shared that NID Entrance Exam pattern for MDes course admissions was easier as compared to last year. The question paper was divided into two sections, Part A consisted of 67 objective type questions and Part B had subjective questions.
Norbo, a student of NIFT who has applied for admission in MDes Graphic Design course at NID shared that the exam “was pretty easy. Section A was the easiest and Section B required me to think a little bit more, so it was little difficult. I was able to complete my exam on time”. Confirming the same, Parvesh said that, “Overall the paper was easy but I found Part B to be difficult”.
MDes in Interior Design aspirant, Naina stated that her NID DAT exam was good “the creative part was more difficult this time. I felt that I needed more time to solve that section rather than the GAT part. My strategy to solve the question paper was that I should solve Part A first and in the remaining one and a half hour I would be able to solve Part B”, however she felt that one hour thirty minutes was not enough to solve the Creative part. As per Naina, Section A of NID Entrance Exam was quite easy.
“In my view the exam was easy as compared to last year exam”, Kunal, a student of Sunderdeep College of Architecture was quoted as saying. An MDes in Retail Design aspirant, Kunal said, “I was able to attempt all questions in Section A as there was no negative marking. There were only 67 questions. The Aptitude section that they introduced this time was easy and the sketching part also I completed in the time limit”.
Anuj Kaushik who took NID DAT exam last year also shared that, “The difficulty level of the exam was the same as last year” but he found the exam to be less lengthy this time around. He further revealed that NID DAT (Prelims) Section A had 67 questions and overall his paper went well but “this year Section B was more about drawing unlike last year”.
Aspiring to secure admission in MDes Interaction Design at NID Bangalore, Jaswinder Singh shared, “The exam was very unpredictable this year. There was no general knowledge at all. The paper was nice, there was logical ability, analytical reasoning etc. I got flabbergasted by the Creative section”. Elaborating about NID exam 2017 test pattern he said that the, “question paper was a little different from last year. NID keeps changing its pattern they are very unpredictable”.
