During the IIT Bombay BTech cutoff 2011, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 93 and 4182, for the General category students under the ALL India Quota. The cutoff ranks are always lower for the General category as compared to other reserved category candidates, such as ST, SC, etc. Hence, the competition is always tough for the General category students to get a seat in top-ranking institutes. Q:   What has been the trend for cut-off for B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology in last few years?

A:

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 434. In 2022, it decreased to 369. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 274 to 304 for OBC, 128 to 135 for SC, 80 to 102 for ST, 117 to 114 for EWS, 52 to 38 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow.
