JEE Main 2024 Paper 2 BArch Aptitude Memory-Based Questions

This section consists of 50 questions for 200 marks. As per the students' review, some of the questions with answers are provided below that were asked in the examination.

Q:   How many questions are asked in JEE Main exam?

A:

The JEE Main exam will have a total of 75 questions from all three subjects. The exam will have 25 questions each from Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. Out of 25 questions, 20 will be multiple choice questions and 5 will be questions with numerical value answers. Students need to answer all 5 numerical value type questions. Also all 20 multiple choices questions are compulsory and no choice is provided in them. Students need to complete all the 75 questions in 3 hours.

Q:   Do I need to attempt all the questions in JEE Main exam?

A:

Yes, it is compulsory to attempt all the question in exam. Students need to attempt a total of 75 questions in the exam. Students are advised to attempt only those questions for which they can arrive at the answer/solutions. Questions for which the answer is not sure should be left as incorrect answer would lead to negative marking. Students must note that there are no minimum marks in JEE Main that students need to score. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.

Q:   What type of questions are asked in JEE Main?

A:

The JEE Main question paper will have questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as per the prescribed syllabus. Each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10. There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B. For each question in Section B.A. Candidate has to enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad in the place designated to enter the answer. For Section B, the answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

JEE Main 2024 Paper 2 BArch Mathematics Questions

This section consists of 20 MCQs and 10 NAT questions. As per the students' some of the questions asked in the JEE Main 2024 Paper 2 are listed below:

Q. How many numbers are there between 100 and 1000 such that 3 is in the unit's place? 

Q:   Upto which year should I solve previous year question papers for JEE?

A:

It is advised that students should solve at least previous 10 year question papers of JEE Main. However, the exam pattern as well as difficulty level of JEE Mains has underwent a lot of changes during the last 10 years but still solving previous year JEE Main question papers from last 10 years will definitely help in scoring the good marks in the exam. As new type of questions (Questions with Numerical Value Answer) were intrduced recently, students are advised to practice solving these type of questions to help solve it during the actual exam.

Q:   What are the numerical value questions in JEE Main exam?

A:

Numerical value questions in JEE Main are the questions for which the answer will be a numerical value. In every subject, there will be 5 numerical value type questions and students need to attempt all 5 questions. In total, students will need to answer only 75 questions. For numerical value type questions, the answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

Q:   What are the main subjects of JEE Main?

A:

JEE Main exam has three subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Question paper of JEE Main is prepared with questions from all the three subjects with equal weightage of 33%. A total of 90 questions are asked in the exam, 30 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The syllabus of JEE Mains for all three subjects is as per the CBSE/NCERT textbook of class 11 and 12. Candidates can check the syllabus from the official website of JEE Main or from the Shiksha page.

Q:   What is Chapterwise weightage of class 11 and 12 topics in JEE Main?

A:
The high weightage topics from class 11 and 12 Physics as per previous year paper analysis are Current Electricity Waves AC, Magnetism, Laws of Motion Work, Power and Energy. In Chemistry the high weightage topics are s and p block elements, Coordination compounds, Thermodynamics Gaseous state, Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, Polymers, Environmental Chemistry Organic Chemistry. In Mathematics, the high weightage topics are Sequence and Series Vectors and 3D, Integral and Differential Calculus, Definite and Indefinite Integral.

Q:   What is the language of JEE Main exam question paper?

A:

JEE Main exam is conducted in a total of 13 languages - English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Candidates can select their preferred language in which they wish to appear in the exam at the time of filling the application form. During the exam, the question paper will be available in two language, English and the language selected at the time of filling the form. Candidates can switch between the two langauge during the exam from their computer screen. The language of question paper can not be changed after filling the application form.

JEE Main 2024 Paper 2 BArch Drawing Test Questions

This section consists of two questions each of 50 marks. As per students' questions asked were;

JEE Main 2024 Paper 2 (BArch/BPlan) Analysis

According to the students' reactions, Paper 2 of JEE Main 2024 was overall easy to moderate. The analysis of the JEE Main Paper 2 exam will help candidates understand their performance level.

Mathematics - Easy to Moderate. As per some students' Mathematics had a few lengthy questions.

Important topics were Quadratic Equations, Progression & Series, Inverse Trigonometric Equations, Binomial Theorem, Complex Numbers, Probability, Permutation & Combination, Matrices, Determinants, 3D Geometry, Vectors, Limits & Continuity, Definite Integrals, Differential Equations.

Aptitude - Easy to Moderate, Some students' found questions easy.

 Important topics were 3-dimensional figures, architecture aptitude, and monumental details, with some logic-based questions.

Drawing - Easy

 Important questions were copying a picture from the screen as per own perception in black and white. The second question involved two options out of which one option had to be attempted - View of a football stadium as a spectator OR Abstract Art using a musical instrument in 3D and naming the texture and shadow effect.

Planning - Easy 

Important topics were National Commission, Town Planning and Planning based questions. General Knowledge questions consisted of the names of the architects of some important monuments.

JEE Main 2024 Paper 2 (BArch/BPlan) Exam Date & Timings

On January 24, 2024, NTA conducted the JEE Main 2024 BArch/Bplan (Paper 2) from 3 PM to 6:30 PM (Shift 2). Candidates can use the answer key to prepare for the upcoming exam or calculate their probable secured scores before the authorities declare the official JEE Main 2024 result.

The official JEE Main 2024 answer key date is expected to be announced soon. Along with the answer key, the authorities will also release the official JEE Main 2024 question papers and candidate response sheet.

JEE Main 2024 cutoff will consist of the minimum marks that is required to qualify the examination. The authorities will consider various factors of JEE Main 2024 while preparing the JEE Main cutoff 2024. It is to be noted that the cutoff will vary as per the categories. The participating institutes will release the admission cutoff separately.

JEE Main 2024 Result

JEE Main 2024 result date will be announced soon. The scores and ranks obtained in the examination will be released through the JEE Main Result 2024. To check the result, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. The All India Rank will be based on the best performance of the candidates out of both the April and January sessions.
