On January 17, 2020, as the JEE Main 2020 results were declared, Divyanshu Agarwal, student of Hisar's Shree Ram Ideal School, scored 100 percentile in the exam and secured his place in the list of top 9 scorers.

Hisar's Divyanshu Agarwal fared a perfect score on his first attempt in the JEE Mains examination 2020. Agarwal is one of the JEE Main toppers with 100 percentile score in January session and also the topper of Haryana. National Testing Agency or NTA declared the JEE Main 2020 results on January 17 (Friday) for Paper 1 conducted between January 6-9 on their official website at jeemain.nic.in.

The other JEE Main toppers are Nishant Agarwal from Delhi, Nisarg Chadha from Gujarat, Jitendra Landa & Vishnu Sri Sai Shankar Thadavarthy from Andhra Pradesh, Akhil Jain & Parth Dwivedi from Rajasthan and Rongala Arun Siddardha and Chagari Koushal Kumar Reddy from Telangana.

In an exclusive conversation with Shiksha, Agarwal said that he was initially very shocked and surprised to see his JEE Main result that he was expecting good marks as he had been preparing for it but didnot expected full marks. Adding to his statement he told us that, “My goal was to clear JEE Main with good marks and score well. Divyanshu, a student from the Shree Ram Ideal School in Hisar is currently busy in studying for his upcoming CBSE board exam for +2.

Divyanshu cleared that he will not appear for JEE Main 2020 April attempt as he is happy with his performance and his next goal is to prepare for the JEE Advanced in May, which is conducted by the IITs under the Joint Admission Board (JAB) and is the basis of admission to IITs.

The JEE Main 2020 Entrance Examination is conducted twice a a year for admission BE/ BTech undergraduate courses offered by the  NITsIIITs and CFTIs in India. A total number of 9,21,261 candidates were registered for BE/BTech in this examination.

Both the JEE Main and JEE Advanced syllabi cover Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from CBSE classes 11 and 12. However, JEE Advanced includes additional topics beyond the standard syllabus. For example, it covers Thermal Physics and Electrochemistry, which are not part of the JEE Main syllabus.
