With the majestic Brahmaputra river on one side and hills and lakes on the other, IIT(Indian Institute of Technology) Guwahati is counted amongst one of the most beautiful and scenic campuses in India. Moreover, the perfect blend of natural beauty and splendid architecture makes this institute all the more stunning.

A third year student of Chemical Engineering at IIT Guwahati, Shikhar Saxena, shares that life at this institute is quite different (read that as better) from what he expected it to be or what he had heard from people before joining this institute. However, it’s the academic life that is a bit different from the one that any student would have experienced at other schools and colleges across the country.

What sets this institute apart from any other tech institute of the country is the scenic beauty which is quite fascinating. Moreover, the facilities given to student at IIT Guwahati are excellent, he reveals.

Where on one hand Shikhar is full of praise for the college’s faculty, seniors, alumni as well as the crowd, there are other things that he would like to change about his institute; the first and the foremost being the mess food.

Listen to this exclusive Shiksha podcast where Shikhar Saxena elaborates more about life at the campus including his daily routine, campus crowd, popular hangout places, attendance, food at the canteen and more.
