Manipal Academy of Higher Education has announced the MET 2023 application form last date for the second phase. Candidates can now fill out and submit the MET application form 2023 for the second attempt until May 15. No applications will be accepted after the final date. For the second attempt, the MET slot booking 2023 process will be open from May 19 to 22. MET 2023 admit card will be generated after the slots are booked and confirmed. MET 2023 for the second attempt will be held from May 27 to 28 as a computer-based test to provide BTech admissions to the participating campuses. During the MET 2023 counselling, admissions are done based on the candidate’s merit, preferences and availability of seats. MET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are advised to check the MET 2023 eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance examination. The eligibility criteria consist of some requirements that the candidates should meet to be eligible for admission through MET 2023.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit for MET 2023 admissions.
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed the 10+2th qualifying (or equivalent) exam with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/any technical vocational subject as an optional subject.
- Qualifying Marks: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks should have been secured by the candidates in the 10+12th qualifying (or equivalent) exam.
MET 2023 Application Form
MAHE has commenced the MET 2023 application form process for the second phase. Candidates can now access the MET 2023 application form only in online mode. To participate in the entrance examination, the candidates are required to fill out and submit the MET application form before the final date i.e., May 15.
Q: Will the MET merit list be available?
MET merit list will be prepared for all candidates. To access the merit list of MET, the candidates will have to log in using their application number. The ranks obtained in the entrance examination along with the counselling and admission eligibility will be released through the MET merit list. The authorities will consider the merit list during the allotment process. Candidates will be allotted as per their marks, preferences and seat availability.
Q: How can I select my preferred MET exam centres?
Candidates will be able to select their preferred MET exam cities while filling out the application form. The cities for the entrance examination have to be selected in the order of preference and submitted. During the slot booking, the candidates will be able to select their choice of exam centres from the city that they have preferred. The slots available in the centre have to be chosen and submitted before the final date. The details regarding the allotted MET exam centre, date and time will be available on the admit card.
Q: What is the eligibility criteria for MET?
Candidates are advised to check the official MET eligibility criteria before registration. If the candidates are not able to meet the eligibility criteria, then they will be disqualified from the MET admission process. As per the official criteria, the candidates should have passed 12th standard or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognised board with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/any technical vocational subject as an optional subject. A minimum of 50% aggregate marks should have been secured by the candidates. There is no age limit.
Steps to fill out MET 2023 application form
- Registration: In the first step, the candidates will have to register for MET 2023 using their valid email ID and phone number. A password also has to be generated by the candidates for future login.
- Filling of the Form: Next, the candidates will have to fill out the MET 2023 application form with the required personal, academic and contact details. Candidates also have to choose their preferred exam city for MET 2023.
- Payment of Fee: The application fee has to be paid in online mode i.e., net banking/credit card/debit card.
- Uploading of Scanned Documents: Candidates will have to upload their scanned passport size photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities.
- Submission of Form: Finally, the candidates will have to submit the MET 2023 application form and take a printout for future use.

Before starting their preparation, it is essential for the candidates to know the official MET 2023 exam pattern and syllabus. MET 2023 syllabus will consist of topics of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and General English curriculum from 11th and 12th standard.
Q: Why have I not been allotted my selected MET slot?
Candidates may experience change in their selected MET slot, if the preferred exam centre is not available anymore. However, the candidates will be allotted as per their preferences submitted in the MET application form. In case of any problems regarding the allotted centres, the candidates are advised to immediately contact the authorities. Q: Who is eligible for MIT Manipal BTech?
Manipal University's Department of Manipal Institute of Technology offers a four-year BTech course. Those who are seeking admission to BTech course are required to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria as per the course requirements. Candidates who passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as main subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology or any technical vocational subject are eligible to apply for this course. They must have obtained 50% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and any other optional subject in combinations. This is a mandatory step to qualify for all the General Category Indian aspirants for MIT Manipal BTech admissions.
Q: I have attempted both sessions of MET. Which score will be used for admissions?
Candidates will be eligible to apply for one or both sessions of MET 2025. If the candidates attempt both sessions of MET then the authorities will consider the best of the two scores for admissions into the B.Tech courses offered by the participating campuses. The candidates will be required to qualify at least one session to be eligible for admissions. Candidates are advised to attempt both sessions so that they have higher chances of securing the required scores to be allotted into their preferred course and campus.
Q: Can I request for a review of my MET score?
No. The authorities will not accept any requests for the review of the MET score. During the preparation of MET scorecard, the authorities will ensure that the candidates are scored as per their performance in the entrance exam. Therefore, the authorities will consider their decision as absolute and will not entertain requests for score reviews. However, if the candidates find any mistakes in the other details present in the MET result, then they can contact the authorities.
Q: Can I join Manipal without entrance?
Manipal University admissions are completely entrance-based. Except for a few courses, where candidates are selected through the merit obtained in their last qualifying exam or by qualifying for Department specific tets for the respective courses. Apart from that, for courses like BBA, MA, BTech, BPharm, etc. candidates must appear for Manipal Entrance Test (MET), followed by other selection rounds. Create a Personal Timetable
It is important for the candidates to create a personal timetable for their preparation. Candidates should make sure that all of the subjects and topics should be equally divided in the timetable. Subjects can also be studied alternatively to avoid monotony. Candidates are also advised to allot enough hours per day for revision and mock tests. Adequate break times are also necessary for the timetable.

MET 2023 Slot Booking
Registered candidates will have to complete the MET 2023 slot booking. During the process, the candidates will have to book their slots through the Online Test Booking System (OTBS) on the official website. Since the process is on a first-come-first-serve basis, the candidates are advised to book their preferred exam date and time as soon as possible. If the candidates fail to book their slots within the given time, then they will be automatically allotted slots by the authorities.
MET 2023 Admit Card
Candidates who complete the slot booking process will be able to obtain their MET 2023 admit card. Details regarding the allotted exam centre, date, timings, instructions and more will be released through the MET admit card. While reporting to the exam centre, the candidates will have to produce their MET 2023 admit card along with identity proof.
MET 2023 Result
MAHE will release the MET 2023 result tentatively in the second week of June. The scores obtained in the examination along with the ranks can be checked through the MET result. Candidates will have to log in using their application number and password to check the MET 2023 result. Based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance examination, MET 2023 merit list will be prepared.
MET 2023 Counselling
Qualified candidates will be able to participate in the MET 2023 counselling online. During the MET 2023 counselling process, the candidates will have to select their preferred courses and campuses. Allotment will be done as per the candidate’s rank, preference and availability of seats.
