I am here to make you all foresee a very typical but important ambiguity that I faced regarding my career path. Let me present you some insights from my personal diary.
It was in class 10th when I got a call from a college named Shri Chaitanya Junior College, a well-established college which aced itself in the list of Guinness Book Record and has trained a plethora of IIT-JEE aspirants. That is the point where I saw myself standing at the point of the road which had split into several paths, and I was confused about which path to choose and also considered the unfavourable outcomes that haunted me a lot. Well, it was just before my 10th board exams. At that moment, I decided to first finish up my board exams, then I would have a thorough insight on these paths and to choose accordingly, so that I won't regret anything later on. I stuck to this and played accordingly.
After my boards, it was high time when I started to know more about these paths. Yes, I faced troubles and then I thought about asking my seniors, relatives and friends. It was a bad decision of referring them as all of them suggested me way different paths. I was totally confused. I was really confused to choose either Science or Commerce as I was good in Maths, with a keen interest in Science too. Well, there is this belief which people have that if you are good in Maths, you should go for Commerce, which isn't true to a greater extent. Then my parents suggested to go for the one field which I really wanted to succeed in, and to take my time to choose the path which would suit me the best, away from orthodox and other lame beliefs.
One fine evening, I explored a lot. Between these two derived paths, I was somewhat more inclined towards opting for Science as my specialization, and I did so. Just before joining a college, there was a 2-month holiday after my Class 10th board exams. It was then that I joined a crash course, just before applying for Class 11th, and its motto was to provide us with insights, in a college named "Saraswati Vidya Mandir", affiliated to CHSE, Odisha State Board. I enrolled under Science and opted for Electronics as my optional subject, not Biology. I really was okay with what I enrolled for. Then I decided to go for Science considering my values, interests and skills. These three things are the most important part in shaping a career as they act like three legs to a stool, and each stool must be equally strong; only after that will we be able to sit comfortably in our decision. Lastly, by bridging the gap between where I stood and where I wanted to be, I chose my road to a successful career.
At present, I am a satisfied 4th-year student from Silicon Institute Of Technology, pursuing my career in ECE as per my choices.
