State BTech Admission via JEE Main 2025: Admission to BTech programs in India primarily occurs through national-level entrance exams, class 12 board marks, and state-level entrance exams. Institutes and states use a counselling process to allocate BTech seats to candidates, aiming to streamline and simplify the admission process for a large number of applicants. National-level counselling processes are carried out for admission to prestigious institutes such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs situated across the nation. Additionally, states conduct state-level counselling for BTech admission to courses offered by state universities and colleges of the states.
Explore colleges based on JEE Main
The national-level counselling processes such as JoSAA, CSAB, and DASA are based on JEE Main / JEE Advanced ranks and are administered by the central government. Meanwhile, state governments in various Indian states conduct state-level counselling, with many states in the north, west, east, and centre using JEE Main ranks and/or class 12 marks for admission to state government-run universities and affiliated colleges. Many states, particularly in the southern and northeastern regions, conduct their state-level entrance exams and counselling processes for BTech admissions in the state. Examples of these exams include KEAM, TS EAMCET, AP EAMCET, KCET, Assam CEE, TJEE, NERIST NEE, and MZUEEE.
