CEETA PG 2025 Counselling Schedule: Check Seat Allotment, Registration Dates, Procedure

The CEETA PG 2025 counselling will be conducted online for candidates who have qualified for the GATE or CEETA PG exam. Candidates can choose whether to apply through the GATE or CEETA exam. Candidates who opt for admission through CEETA PG need not apply for CEETA PG counselling. On the other hand, GATE-qualified candidates can apply through the CEETA PG counselling window. Also, candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling.

The step-by-step process to apply for the CEETA PG 2025 counselling is as follows- 

Step I - Online Registration

Shortlisted candidates must register online at the official website. During registration, candidates must provide details such as name, parent’s name, date of birth, educational qualification, etc. 

Step II - Uploading Required Documents

After registration, candidates must upload specific documents to verify their authenticity. The documents must be scanned and in a prescribed format. The list of the documents includes a photograph, signature, and other documents. 

Step III - Payment of the Counselling Fees

Candidates must pay the counselling fees once the counselling form is filled out. The payment has to be made online through netbanking, credit card, or debit card. The fees for CEETA PG counselling are different for each category, which can be checked below -

Step V- Final Submission of the CEETA PG Counselling Form

After providing all the information, uploading the documents, and paying the counselling fees, candidates can proceed to submit the registration form.

While filling out the CEETA PG counselling registration form, candidates have to upload the following documents -

• 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
• Qualifying degree and certificates
• CEETA PG 2025 admit card
• CEETA PG or GATE 2023/2024/2025 scorecard
• Transfer certificate from the college or institute last attended
• Nativity certificate (optional)
• Disability certificate (optional)
• Permanent Community certificate - digitally e-signed certificate in the case of BC Muslim, BC, MBC/DNC and SC/SC (Arunthathiyars)/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu
• Copy of identification certificate received from the Tahsildar Headquarters or Visa Passport, and letter registered in Police Station (for Sri Lankan Refugee candidates).

Candidates who have completed the CEETA PG 2025 counselling registration will be eligible for the counselling and seat allotment process. The conducting authority will release the registered candidates' CEETA PG 2025 merit list, which will be available separately for GATE and CEETA PG-qualified candidates. 

Preparation of the CEETA PG Admission Merit List (for GATE Category)

• GATE Engineering/Technology Category: The merit list will be prepared for the candidates with GATE 2023/2024/2025 scores in the appropriate discipline of Engineering and Technology. 
• The merit list will be prepared based on the GATE Engineering Science (XE)/Life Sciences (XL) Category based on the GATE 2023/2024/2025 score in Engineering Sciences in the relevant discipline. Candidates under this category should also have appeared for the CEETA PG 2025 exam conducted by Anna University, Chennai. The overall mark will be calculated by considering the GATE and CEETA PG percentile scores in the ratio of 70:30.

Preparation of the CEETA PG 2025 Merit List (for CEETA-PG Category)

Candidates who have appeared for CEETA PG 2025 and opted for admission through CEETA PG 2025 need not apply for CEAP counselling 2025. Admission to such candidates will be based on the CEETA PG scores only in May 2025 by CEAP. 

The CEAP CEETA-PG 2025 seat allotment list will be based on the CEETA PG merit list. Anna University will conduct the seat allotment process, considering various factors, such as admission policies, academic performance, choice filling and document submission. The final allotment of seats will be published on the official website, and selected candidates will be offered a provisional allotment letter for further admission process. Candidates can download the CEETA PG provisional allotment letter using their login credentials.

Candidates who have received seats during the allotment process must report to the allotted institute or university to confirm their admission on the prescribed date and time. Admissions will be cancelled if a candidate fails to report to the allotted institute. During the reporting time, candidates must carry all the documents (original and photocopy) for verification purposes.
