CEETA PG 2025 Exam Pattern: Anna University will release the CEETA PG exam pattern 2025 on its official website, tancet.annauniv.edu. Candidates wishing to apply can check the details regarding the exam pattern here. The CEETA PG 2025 examination pattern comprises information regarding the exam mode, duration of the CEETA PG question paper, marking scheme, difficulty level, etc. The entrance test takes place offline for two hours. The question paper is divided into three parts, carrying 100 questions to attempt. Candidates can find details regarding the Anna University CEETA PG 2025 exam pattern here.

CEETA PG 2025 Marking Scheme

The CEETA PG 2025 Question Paper for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.E/M.Plan is divided into three sections: Part I, II, and III. Candidates must appear in all three sections in two hours (10:00 am to 12:00 pm). Parts I and II are compulsory, while Part III will carry subject-related questions. Candidates can check the detailed marking scheme of the CEETA PG 2024 exam pattern.

One mark is awarded for each correct answer. However, a negative mark of 1/4 is deducted for every incorrect answer. CEETA PG is an offline-based exam in which candidates are provided with OMR sheets to answer the questions. Candidates are advised to follow the instructions and mark the answers carefully. There is no negative marking for the questions left unanswered. 

CEETA PG 2025 Exam Syllabus

Anna University will release the CEETA PG exam syllabus on the information brochure on the official website. Candidates are advised to read and understand the syllabus to prepare for the exam. 

CEETA PG syllabus comprises questions from engineering mathematics and basic engineering sciences (common for all candidates) with subject-based questions. Candidates must note that the questions will be asked at the undergraduate level.

Evaluation of CEETA PG 2025 Marks

The CEETA 2025 question paper for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.E/M.Plan will have two common parts: (Part I)Engineering Mathematics and (Part II) Basic Engineering and Sciences, and Part III will comprise questions from respective disciplines. On evaluation, the average marks may vary from discipline to discipline under Part-III. Hence, the marking for Part-III section is calculated using the following formula -

Computed Marks of Part-III = (X+r)m

Where

  • "X" denotes adjustment factor
  • "r" is the raw mark scored by the candidates and 
  • "m" is the multiplication factor used to level the averages of all subjects.

Candidates who have appeared for the CEETA PG entrance test will be notified of their actual marks and percentile scores when the results are published. The final scorecard of CEETA PG will only carry the percentile score. 

 

Q:   What is the section-wise distribution of questions for CEETA PG 2025 examination?

A:

The CEETA PG 2025 exam question paper is divided into three parts: I, II, and III comprising questions from Engineering Mathematics, Basic Engineering and Sciences, and respective discipline-based. The section-wise distribution of questions is as follows -

  • Section I (Engineering Mathematics) carries a total of 20 questions
  • Section II (Basic Engineering and Sciences) carries a total of 20 questions, and 
  • Section III (Subject-related questions) carries a total of 60 questions.

Each question carries one mark, with a negative marking of 1/4 for every incorrect response.

Q:   What is the CEETA PG marking scheme?

A:

The CEETA PG question paper comprises of a total of 115 objective-based questions, divided into three sections. Part I and Part II are common for all papers, whereas, Part-III section will carry subject-related questions. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded. On the other hand, for an incorrect answer, a negative marking of 1/4 is deducted. However, there is no negative marking for the answers not attempted. Candidates will be provided OMR sheets to record their responses to the questions.

  • Part I: Multiple shading will be considered as wrong answer and 1/3 mark will be reduced.
