Q:   What is GITAM GAT 2025 exam date?

GITAM GAT 2025 exam date will be announced on the official website. The exam is expected to be held across 8 phases starting from January 2025 to July 2025. This national-level exam is conducted for admission to all GITAM campuses located in Vishakapatnam, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and GIMSR. The duration of the test is either 2 or 1 hour, depending on the course for which the GAT is being conducted. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 or 1 mark, and wrong answers and unanswered questions will receive no marks. The exam is held in computer-based test mode at various centers, or can be held in online proctored mode for a few courses.

Q:   What are the scholarship policies offered via GITAM GAT?

The GITAM GAT scholarship policies are as follows:

  • For the scholarships offered through various National and State Entrance Tests, the students are required to apply for GITAM Admission Test (GAT) and must attend the counseling for admission as per the schedule.
  • If a student is eligible for a scholarship under more than one category through GAT, National, and State Entrance Tests, then he/she will be awarded the highest percent of the scholarship.
  • The scholarship offered through GAT, National and State Entrance Tests is applicable for the First Year only. The same scholarship will be continued in the subsequent years of study subject to scoring a CGPA of 8.0 and above.
  • The children of GITAM employees admitted in full-time programmes are further eligible to avail only 25% of Merit Scholarship through GAT, National and State Entrance Tests.
  • The students admitted through GAT Scholarship Scheme are further eligible for Alumni returning to Higher Education, Alumni Children, Sibling Scholarship, and Retired Employee Children scholarship.

The application fee to apply for GAT 2025 is INR 1200. However, if a student desires to apply for 2 different groups, they may select these two programs and remit a payment of INR 2400/-.

  • Candidates have to click the “Proceed to Payment” link to be redirected to the payment gateway.
  • Applicant can click the "Previous" button before making payment to make changes if any.
  • Once the payment is successful, the applicant will be redirected to an “Application Print” page where a print copy of the application form is available for download/print for the record.

Documents Needed to Apply for GAT 2025

Candidates have to upload their recent passport-sized photo. The instruction for the same is given below:

  • Upload a formal passport size.
  • The photo must be in JPEG/JPG format.
  • The dimensions must not be larger than 35 mm X 45 mm.
  • Also, the file size must not be larger than 1 MB.

How to Fill GITAM GAT 2025 Application Form

Candidates can apply for GITAM GAT 2025 in any one of the following methods:

Step 1: Registration

  • Log on to https://apply.gitam.edu to access the applicants' portal.
  • Click on the "Register" button to open the registration page. On this page, applicants need to fill in the basic personal information, as well as any other details that are required.

Step 2: Filling in the Applicant's Current Education Details

  • This section asks for the applicant's current education details, including the current field of study, the name of your school, the subjects he/ she is studying, the campus interested in, the year of completion of graduation / +2, the list of eligible disciplines, and eligible programs.
  • After entering the details, click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page. Then click the "Next" button to proceed to the next page and move to the course selection section.

Step 3: Filling in the Course Selection Details

  • This section displays the eligible courses based on the group selected by the applicant in their current education section. On this page, the applicant needs to select the courses he/she is interested in. After selection, the system will display the eligibility criteria for the chosen course and the applicant will need to click "Add Course" to apply.

Step 4: Filling in the Personal Details

  • In this section, candidates have to fill in the below given details:
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Gender
    • Date of birth
    • Aadhar no.
    • Mother tongue
    • Category
    • Nationality
    • Country of permanent residence
  • Also here candidates have to upload the scanned documents of the following:

Step 5: Filling in the Communication Details

  • Here, this section prompts applicants to fill in their communication/parent details.

Step 6: Selecting the centre for GAT

  • In this section, the applicant needs to select their preferred test centre for centre-based examination.

Step 7: Reviewing Information and Application Fee Payment

  • This section will allow the applicant to review the information provided on the previous pages. Applicant should proceed for payment of the non-refundable application fee of INR 1200.
