The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the CDS 1 Final merit list 2024. 590 (470 + 120) candidates who have finally qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2024 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and Interviews held
by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence. Of 590 candidates, 120 are women and 470 are men who will be enrolled in the 35th Short Service Commission Women (NonTechnical) and 121st Short Service Commission Course (Men), which will start in April 2025.

According to the UPSC CDS calendar the CDS 1 2025 application form and the notification was released on December 11, 2024 and the last date to apply was January 1, 2025 (extended). The CDS 1 exam will be conducted on April 13, 2025. On the other hand the CDS 2 exam application and notification will be released on May 28, 2025. The application remained active till June 17, 2025. However, the exam for the CDS 2 2025 will be conducted on September 14, 2025.
