IBPS RRB Selection Process 2024 is different for different posts. IBPS RRB Clerk selection process comprises prelims exam and mains exam. Q:   When IBPS RRB 2025 application form will be released?

IBPS RRB 2025 application form will be released in June 2025. Interested candidates are required to fill the application form online. The application fee is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of their application forms. IBPS RRB application form is released to fill up vacancies for the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant. Before filling the application form, candidates must ascertain that they fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the examination authority for IBPS RRB exam.

The short notification for IBPS RRB 2024 exam was released on May 5, 2024. The detailed notification was released on June 7, 2024. IBPS RRB notification was released in PDF form and comprises information related to the exam dates, vacancies, participating banks, pattern, and syllabus. IBPS RRB is a national-level banking exam for recruitment of Group A-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group B-Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Depending on the vacancies as per the business needs of the Regional Rural Banks, candidates shortlisted are provisionally allotted to one of the Regional Rural Banks keeping in view the merit-cum-preference.

Q:   Why is IBPS RRB exam conducted?

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts IBPS RRB exam for recruitment to the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) or Gramin Banks. IBPS organises the RRB CWE Exam every year for the recruitment to the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant. The exam is conducted online. IBPS is fully responsible for conducting RRB Common Written Exam (CWE). For the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) the examination is conducted in two phases i.e.  preliminary and mains. For the post of Officers Scale 1, the exam is conducted in three phases-prelims , mains and interview. For the post of Officers Scale 2 and 3, the exam is conducted in two phases single online exam and interview. In recent years, the level of competition for IBPS RRB exams has spurt exponentially. IBPS RRB Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

The selection process of IBPS RRB Clerk includes the preliminary exam and mains exam. Since it is a lower grade post, therefore, no interview will be conducted. The provisional allotment of candidates is done based on the mains exam. The marks of the preliminary exam are not counted for the preparation of the merit list. On the basis of the marks of the prelims exam, an adequate number of candidates are selected for the mains exam.

The selection process of this post includes preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. Based on the marks of the preliminary exam, candidates are selected for the mains exam. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for an interview. The final allotment of candidates is done based on the mains exam and interview. Selected candidates are given an appointment for the post of Assistant Manager.

The post of Officers Scale II is of Manager while the post of Officers Scale III is of Senior Manager. All registered candidates are required to appear for Single Level examination. Filling the Application Form

After going through the notification candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria should proceed towards filling IBPS RRB application form. The application form should be filled online only. Issue of Admit Card

IBPS RRB admit card is issued separately for different posts and stages of exam. The admit card is released online on the official website. Appearing in the Exam

IBPS RRB Selection Process 2024: Provisional Allotment

The provisional allotment in IBPS RRB exam is done in the following manner:

  • On completion of the interview process or the mains exam, depending upon the number of IBPS RRB vacancies to be filled in as per the business needs, candidates shortlisted are provisionally allotted to any one of the RRBs based on the merit-cum-preference
  • For Officers in Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the provisional allotment is restricted within the RRBs of the state opted for as well as IBPS RRB cut off
  • Candidates belonging to the reserved category selected on the basis of the norms as applicable to the General Category are treated at par with a General category candidate.
  • Such own merit candidates belonging to reserved categories who are provisionally allotted under the unreserved (General) category are not adjusted against a reserved post. However, their original category entered in the online registration remains unchanged
  • In the event where two or more candidates obtains the same score, the merit order is decided as per the date of birth
  • The provisional allotment is subject to the candidates fulfilling the criteria of RRBs and identity verification
  • The letter of appointment, joining formalities, etc. are done by the RRBs
  • A reserve list is maintained by the IBPS which is filled as per the business need
