Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts IBPS RRB exam for recruitment to the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) or Gramin Banks. IBPS organises the RRB CWE Exam every year for the recruitment to the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant. The exam is conducted online. IBPS is fully responsible for conducting RRB Common Written Exam (CWE). For the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) the examination is conducted in two phases i.e.  preliminary and mains. For the post of Officers Scale 1, the exam is conducted in three phases-prelims , mains and interview. For the post of Officers Scale 2 and 3, the exam is conducted in two phases single online exam and interview. In recent years, the level of competition for IBPS RRB exams has spurt exponentially. IBPS RRB eligibility criteria is prescribed by the examination authority separately for different posts. The basic educational qualification for IBPS RRB exam is graduation. However, the educational qualification vary post-wise. The post-wise age limit for IBPS RRB exam is given below:

For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager): Above 21 years-Below 40 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1983 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- II (Manager): Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1991 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager): Above 18 years - Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1993 and later than 31.05.2005 (both dates inclusive)
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.06.1995 and later than 01.06.2005 (both dates inclusive)

The upper age limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

IBPS RRB age limit for different posts is given below:

For Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): Candidates must be above 21 years and below 40 years, i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than July 3rd 1981 and later than May 31st 2000 (both dates inclusive)

For Officer Scale-II (Manager): Candidates must be above 21 years  and below 32 years, i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than July 3rd 1989 and later than May 31st 2000 (both dates inclusive).

For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): The age of candidates should be above 18 years and below 30 years, i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than July 3rd 1991 and later than May 31st, 2003 (both dates inclusive).

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): The age limit prescribed for this post is between 18 years and 28 years, i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than July 2nd 1993 and later than July 1st, 2003 (both dates inclusive).

The nationality prescribed for IBPS RRB exam is given below:

• A citizen of India
• A subject of Nepal
• A subject of Bhutan
• A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 intending to settle in India permanently
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

IBPS RRB 2025 application form will be released in June 7. Interested candidates are required to fill the application form online. The application fee is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of their application forms. IBPS RRB application form is released to fill up vacancies for the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. After final submission, an additional page of the online application form is displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details. If the online transaction is not successfully completed then candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password and pay the application fees/intimation charges online. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt is generated. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form
containing fee details.

IBPS RRB exam pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam such as marking scheme, total marks, number of sections, duration of exam, etc.. The salary for IBPS RRB Scale 2 varies depending on the location of the posting, and is subject to change over time. However, as of my available information, the basic pay scale for IBPS RRB Scale 2 officers ranges from INR 33,000 to INR 39,000 per month. Additionally, officers are also eligible for various allowances and perks such as DA, HRA, medical benefits, and more. 

Scores obtained by candidates in IBPS RRB exam are calculated based on the marking scheme. The marking scheme is prescribed by the examination authority. IBPS RRB marking scheme is given below:

IBPS RRB Clerk exam is conducted to select eligible candidates for the post of Clerks in the Regional Rural Banks. It is one of the most demanding and prestigious government jobs. Candidates joining as IBPS RRB Clerk receive basic salary of INR 19,900. The salary structure of IBPS RRB is given below.

The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. Minimum qualifying marks in interview is not less than 40 per cent (35 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates). The relative weightage given to the Mains exam and Interview for the provisional allotment is 80:20 respectively for the Officers cadre. The combined final score of candidates is arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the Mains for the post of Officers Scale I and in the Single Level Examination for the post of Officers Scale II and III and Interview. Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process is not disclosed. Candidates should qualify both in the Mains exam and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process. The provisional allotment is done based on merit-cum-preference. For Officers in Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the provisional allotment is restricted within the RRBs of the State opted for.
