IBPS RRB PO prelims result 2024 was announced on September 13, 2024. The result was announced on the official website of IBPS. IBPS RRB Clerk prelims scorecard is available now. To download the IBPS RRB scorecard, candidates need to login with the required credentials. IBPS RRB scorecard displays details such as the candidate's name, roll number, registration number, exam date, category, the state applied for, minimum score, IBPS RRB cutoff marks, score obtained by them. The hard copy of the scorecard is not sent to candidates by post. Before completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the Mains examination are not shared with the candidates selected for the interview.

IBPS RRB Result for Preliminary Exam

The preliminary exam is conducted for Officers Scale I and Office Assistant posts. The test comprises 80 objective-type questions from Reasoning Ability and Numerical Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 80. Candidates qualifying the exam by securing the overall and subject-wise cut off marks are selected for the Mains exam. Depending on the number of vacancies, an adequate number of candidates under each category are shortlisted for the Mains exam. 

IBPS RRB Result for Mains/Single Level Exam 

IBPS RRB Mains examination is conducted for Officers Scale I and Office Assistant posts, while the single-level exam is held for Officers Scale II and III. The Mains exam comprises 200 objective type questions from Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, and Computer Knowledge. The total marks allotted to the Mains exam are 200. Candidates for the post of Officers Scale I, II, and III are required to obtain a minimum score in each test of mains/single-level exam and in aggregate to be shortlisted for the interview. For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) posts, provisional allotment is done based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam. 

IBPS RRB Interview/Final Result 

Depending on the number of vacancies, candidates three times the number of vacancies are selected for the Interview. Candidates shortlisted in the mains/single level exams for Officers Scale I, II, and III posts are called for the interview. The interview carries a total of 100 marks. The examination authority decides a minimum qualifying mark for the interview. The result of the interview is declared along with the final result. 

The final IBPS RRB result is declared based on the scores of the Mains exam/single level examination and Interview. The relative weightage given to the Mains exam and interview is 80:20. Candidates should qualify both in the mains/single exam and interview and be high in the order of merit to be shortlisted for the provisional allotment process.

The career growth for an IBPS RRB PO (Probationary Officer) typically involves promotions to higher positions within the bank. The next level after PO is usually Assistant Manager, followed by Branch Manager, Assistant General Manager, Deputy General Manager, General Manager, and finally, Chief General Manager. The promotions are based on performance, experience, and other criteria set by the bank. With each promotion, the salary, benefits, and responsibilities also increase. 

The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. Minimum qualifying marks in interview is not less than 40 per cent (35 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates). The relative weightage given to the Mains exam and Interview for the provisional allotment is 80:20 respectively for the Officers cadre. The combined final score of candidates is arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the Mains for the post of Officers Scale I and in the Single Level Examination for the post of Officers Scale II and III and Interview. Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process is not disclosed. Candidates should qualify both in the Mains exam and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process. The provisional allotment is done based on merit-cum-preference. For Officers in Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the provisional allotment is restricted within the RRBs of the State opted for.

In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before/ above the candidate junior in age), as per the prevailing practice

The scores of candidates are calculated as per the marking scheme given below:

• The number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the corrected score after applying the penalty for the wrong answer.
• The corrected scores obtained by candidates are made equivalent to adjust the differences in the difficulty level since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts to arrive at the equated scores
• Scores obtained by candidates in any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms
• Final scores in each test are rounded off to up to two digits after the decimal point
• 1/4 marks are deducted for wrong answers

The provisional allotment is done in the following manner:

• Once the interview/mains examination is completed, depending on the number of IBPS RRB vacancies, shortlisted candidates are provisionally allotted to one of the RRBs
• The provisional allotment of candidates in IBPS RRB exam is done based on merit-cum-preference
• For Officers Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the provisional allotment is done within the RRBs of the state opted by the candidates
• Candidates belonging to the reserved category, selected on the basis of the norms of the General category will be treated as per General Category candidates
• Such own merit candidates belonging to reserved categories who are provisionally allotted under General Category will not be adjusted against a reserved post
• The provisional allotment is subjected to candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria of RRBs and identity verification
• The letter of appointment is issued by the respective RRBs
• IBPS releases the list of candidates allotted to different RRBs 
• To check the allotted bank, candidates need to select the post they have applied for. The allotment list displays candidates' roll number, marks obtained out of 100, and allotted bank

A reserve list, as per the vacancies, is prepared for each category. In the event where RRBs have announced further vacancies, provisional allotment is carried out from the reserve list. Wherein two or more candidates secure the same score, the merit order is decided as per the date of birth. This means candidates senior in age are placed above the one junior in age.

IBPS RRB PO cut off i2024 for the prelims exam was released on September 17, 2024. The cut off was released state-wise, category-wise and section-wise. The cut off was calculated based on various factors such as the overall difficulty level of the exam, total marks, level of competition and number of test takers. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks are selected for the next round of recruitment process.

IBPS RRB cut off is the minimum qualifying marks which candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam. IBPS RRB cut off is applied on different sections and overall/total marks. The salary for IBPS RRB Scale 2 varies depending on the location of the posting, and is subject to change over time. However, as of my available information, the basic pay scale for IBPS RRB Scale 2 officers ranges from INR 33,000 to INR 39,000 per month.
