ICG Navik Vacancies 2025: Indian Coast Guard (ICG) released ICG Navik Vacancies 2025 for 01/2025 batch. A total of 260 vacancies were announced for the exam. The selection of candidates for ICG Navik 2025 exam is based on an all India order of merit on their performance in Stage-I, II, III & IV and the number of vacancies available for the post. Clearing of Stage-I, II, III, IV and satisfactory performance in training is compulsory for recruitment in ICG. All candidates are compulsorily subjected to biometric, photo identification and document verification during stage-I, II, III & IV of the selection procedure. Q:   What is Indian Coast Guard Age Limit for General Duty?

A:

Indian Coast Guard age limit for Navik General Duty is 18 to 22 years. 5 years relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates,  if the posts are reserved for them and 3 Years for OBC, if the posts are reserved for them. EWS candidates will not get any age relaxation. Even if there is no vacancy reserved for SC / ST / OBC (Non - Creamy) / EWS category candidates, such candidates can still apply. However, they will not be eligible for any age and passing marks concession / relaxation etc. SC / ST candidates are exempt from payment of application fee even in such case.

ICG Vacancy 2025: Training

The basic training for Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch) and Yantrik is conducted at INS Chilka followed by sea training and professional training in the allotted trade. Branch/trade will be allocated as per the requirement of service and performance during basic training. Naviks (GD/DB)/Yantriks are liable to be discharged if their progress (including academic) or conduct is unsatisfactory at any time during training. Trainees are also liable to be discharged at any stage of training if their online application or the documents are found to be falsified at the stage of recruitment.

Q:   What is the duration of ICG Navik training?

A:

The duration of ICG training is given below:

  1. On completion of basic training at INS Chilka, the trainee will undergo professional and sea training for a period of 6 months to 2 years or as decided by ICG.
  2. Navik (GD) are liable to be discharged as Unsuitable if their progress (including academic) or conduct is unsatisfactory at any time during training. Trainees are also liable to be discharged at any stage of training if their online application or the documents are found to be falsified at the stage of recruitment.

A:

Navik (General Duty) serves onboard ships and ashore for various duties, as an Enrolled Personnel. Navik (GD) candidates are allotted specialisation trade on completion of basic training at INS Chilka. The trades/ specialisation is allotted on the performance of the candidate in the training and the requirement of the service.

ICG Vacancy: Salary

ICG salary 2023 for Navik and Yantrik is given below:

Navik (General Duty): Basic pay of INR 21,700 (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulations.

Navik (Domestic Branch): Basic Pay Scale for Navik (DB) is INR 21700 (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulation.

Yantrik: Basic pay is INR 29200 (Pay Level-5). In addition, candidates will be paid Yantrik pay @ INR 6200 plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulation.
