INET Vacancy 2022: Important Points
Few important points related to INET vacancies are given below:
- Only one INET application form will be accepted against the vacancies
- Candidates who are eligible for more than one branch/cadre should mention their preferences in the application form. So that they can be considered for other choices in case slots for SSBs in entries of their first choice are filled
- Candidates are shortlisted for SSB based on their INET rank and their preference of choice
- If candidates are not shortlisted for the first preference they are considered for alternate Branch/Cadre subject to availability of slots in SSB batches
- Once shortlisted for a branch/cadre, subsequent stages of the selection process will be for that branch/cadre only
INET Selection Process
The selection process comprises the following stages:
INET: The test is conducted in online mode and comprises four sections. Candidates need to pass in all the sections by securing 40 per cent. The duration of the test is two hours and carries 400 marks.
SSB Interview: The SSB Interview comprises two stages. Stage I is Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion test and Stage II is Psychological testing, Group testing and interview.
Training of candidates
The training procedure of candidates after cracking INET exam is explained below:
- Candidates will be selected as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant
- Officers of all branches/cadres except the officers of IT will have to undergo 22 weeks Naval Orientation Course whereas officers of SSC (IT) will undergo four weeks of Naval orientation course at the Naval Academy, Ezhimala
- The probation period for SSC (NAIC) Officers is three years and for officers of other branches/cadres is two years
- Only unmarried candidates are eligible for training
- Selection of candidates are done based on INET exam and SSB Interview
- Candidates recommended for SSB Interview will have a medical test
- The final selection will be done after the final test
