JKSET exam pattern 2023 has been prescribed by the University of Jammu for the JKSET/ LASET 2023 edition of the exam. The JK SET 2023 exam pattern is the same as prescribed for the NET exam by the UGC/ CSIR/ NTA. The JK SET exam pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam including the total number of questions, marking scheme, duration of the exam, maximum marks, and subjects. The JK SET exam is conducted for 39 subjects and each subject contains two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The exam pattern of both papers is different.
Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the JKSET exam papers will have only the following objective-type questions:
(a) Multiple Choice
(b) Matching
(c) Assertion and Reasoning
(d) True and False
The JK SET Paper 1 is standard for all 39 subjects and comprises objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from the Teaching and Research Aptitude. On the other hand, Paper 2 is conducted for 39 subjects. All the questions in both papers are compulsory in nature. Candidates need to appear for both JKSET 2023 Paper 1 and Paper 2 in order to be eligible for the award of Assistant Professor.

JKSET Exam Pattern 2023 for Paper 2
The JKSET Paper 2 is conducted for 38 different subjects. Candidates need to choose the subject of their PG level while submitting the JKSET application form. In the JK SET Paper 1 and Paper 2, candidates will be awarded 2 marks for every correct answer. There is no negative marking in the JKSET exam for wrong answers or unattempted questions.
