PSTET Application Form 2023 was released by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) on February 18, 2023, after the issue of official notification. Candidates could apply for PSTET 2023 exam from February 18 to 28, 2023. The PSTET registration 2023 is conducted in online mode only. The PSTET online application process involves online registration, application form submission, uploading of documents and application fee payment. Candidates who want to appear for the exam need to fill out the PSTET application form. 

The PSEB also opens the application form correction window. Candidates can make corrections or changes to the already filled application form. Read further to know the important details related to the application process for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2023.

Q:   Can I edit the PSTET application form after the final submission?

A:

No, once submitted, you cannot make any changes to the PSTET application form. The candidates have to be careful while filling the application form because the form cannot be edited after the final submission. Though the application correction window is activated for the candidates to make changes in the application form. The candidates can change the following details in application form through the application correction window:

  • Name
  • Category
  • Education
  • Date of Birth, etc.

Q:   Is there any restriction on the number of attempts for the PSTET exam?

A:

No, you can apply and appear for the PSTET exam for any number of times till you attain the desired scores. The PSTET Certificate is valid for a lifetime according to the norms of NCTE. Though, the candidates can take the PSTET exam to upgrade their marks. The guidelines have been given below for the candidates to take the PSTET exam:

  • The candidates must fulfill the educational qualification criteria to take the exam
  • The age of the candidates cannot be less than 18 years
  • There is no upper age limit to take the PSTET exam
  • The candidates can take the PSTET exam as many times as they want as there is no restrictions in taking the exam again

How to Fill the PSTET Application Form 2023?

The PSTET application process is conducted online and involves various stages. Have a look at the process below:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website - https://pstet.pseb.ac.in
  • Step 2: Click on the ‘New User’ tab
  • Step 3: Read the instructions and proceed
  • Step 4: Now click on the 'Registered User' tab
  • Step 5: Register by entering the required details
  • Step 6: Fill the application form - personal details, candidate’s contact details and permanent address

A:

No, the PSTET application form can be filled in online mode only on the official website of the board. The board follows a structure of completing exam process in which the online application is part of the structure. The candidates have to fill out the PSTET form online according to the norms of the board. The candidates have to pay the application fees online. No, either option is given to the candidates to make the payment for the PSTET exam.

In the PSTET exam, papers 1 and 2 contain 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. Paper 1 comprises 5 sections i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 comprises 4 sections with a choice in the fourth one i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. PSTET Marking Scheme: 1 mark is allotted for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in the PSTET exam.
