RBI Grade B Vacancy 2024: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released RBI Grade B 2024 vacancies along with the notification. A total of 94 vacancies were announced for the RBI Grade B 2024 exam. Out of the total RBI Grade B vacancies, a total of 66 vacancies are announced for Gr B (DR) General post, 21 are for DEPR post and 7 are DSIM post. In 2023, a total of 291 vacancies were announced for the exam. 

RBI Grade B vacancies are announced to select eligible candidates for the post of Grade B Officers (DR-General/DEPR/DSIM). The vacancies are announced separately for different posts and categories. Candidates selected through the RBI Grade B exam will join the post of Officers in Grade B (DR) -General, DEPR, and DSIM in the Combined Seniority Group. The seniority of the selected candidates is decided as per their ranks in the exam. Selected candidates will get RBI Grade B salary of INR 1,08,404 per month. Q:   What is RBI Grade B eligibility?

A:
Candidates applying for RBI Grade B recruitment should be between 21 and 30 years as per the eligibility criteria. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories are given relaxation in the upper age limit. For M.Phil and Ph.D. the upper age limit is 32 and 34, respectively. The educational qualification required for RBI Grade B is Graduation. Candidates need to secure the required minimum percentage of marks in Graduation. Candidates must secure 60 per cent in graduation (50 per cent for SC/ST/PwBD applicants). There is a limit on the number of attempts in RBI Grade B exam. Candidates belonging to the general category are permitted only six attempts. There is no limit in the number of attempts for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS candidates. The relaxation given in the age limit to candidates belonging to the reserved categories is provided below: SC/ST-5 years OBC-3 years Physically Handicapped-10 years PH OBC-13 years PH SC/ST-15 Years

  • Candidates belonging to the OBC category but falling under the Creamy Layer are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as General
  • Reservations for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) in recruitment are governed by Office Memorandum No.36039/1/2019-Estt. (Res) dated 31.01.2019 of Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Government of India
  • Out of the total vacancies, some are reserved for the Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category
  • PwBD candidates may belong to any category (ie General/SC/ST/OBC/EWSs)
  •  PwBD candidates should possess the latest disability certificate issued by a competent authority
