REET Cut-Off 2024: There is no cut-off criterion in the REET exam. The REET cutoff is referred to as the minimum qualifying marks. Candidates need to obtain the minimum qualifying marks or passing marks to clear the examination. Candidates who clear the REET exam by obtaining the qualifying marks or cut-off marks are awarded the eligibility certificate. The REET qualifying marks 2024 differ for General category candidates and Reserved categories such as ST, SC, OBC, MBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen, Widow, PwD, and Sahariya Jan-Jati. The REET passing marks are similar for Level 1 and Level 2.

Check below the the category-wise REET cut-off 2024 marks along with other details. The REET 2024 exam will be conducted soon.

Q:   What is the minimum qualifying percentage for REET?

A:
The minimum qualifying percentage for the REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) exam varies for different categories of candidates. The qualifying percentage for different categories is as follows: a) For General category candidates: 60 per cent marks. B) For SC/ST/OBC/MBC/PH candidates: 55 per cent marks. It is important to note that candidates who score less than the minimum qualifying percentage in the REET exam will be considered as unsuccessful and will not be eligible for recruitment as teachers in Rajasthan. Candidates who qualify the REET exam will be awarded with the REET Certificate which is valid for a period of 3 years from the date of issue. It is important to note that the REET Certificate does not guarantee a job, but it is a mandatory eligibility requirement for candidates who wish to apply for teaching jobs in Rajasthan.

Q:   Is there any negative marking in REET exam?

A:
There is no negative marking in the REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) exam. The REET exam is conducted in two levels- Level 1 for candidates interested in teaching classes 1 to 5, and Level 2 for candidates interested in teaching classes 6 to 8. Both the levels of the exam consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers, which means that candidates are not penalised for guessing the answer or attempting a question. However, it is important to note that candidates should try to avoid guessing and attempt only those questions for which they are confident about the answer, as it is the total number of correct answers that will determine their score and ranking in the REET exam.

Q:   What will happen if I meet the REET cut off?

A:
If a candidate meets the REET cut off marks, it means that he/she have qualified the exam and have scored the minimum required marks to be considered for the recruitment process. However, qualifying the REET exam does not guarantee a job as a teacher in Rajasthan. After qualifying the REET exam, you will need to apply for the teacher recruitment process, which includes document verification, counselling, and selection based on merit. The final selection will depend on your performance in the recruitment process, which may include factors such as your REET score, academic qualifications, and other criteria as per the recruitment rules. Once you are selected for the job, you will be appointed as a teacher in a government school in Rajasthan, subject to the terms and conditions of the recruitment process and the state government's policies. As a teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students and contributing to their academic and overall development.
