REET Result 2024: The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will release the results of the REET 2024-2025 exam after the completion of the assessment process. Q:   What is the minimum qualifying percentage for REET?

A: 
Candidates must score 60 per cent or above in the REET examination to be considered as TET qualified. The qualifying per cent for the other categories has been given below for the candidates: a) OBC- 55 per cent b) SC: 55 per cent c) ST: 36 per cent d) Women and Ex-Servicemen: 50 per cent e) PwD: 40 per cent f) Saharia Janjati: 36 per cent NCTE Guidelines for TET Qualifying Marks (For all TET exams across India) A person who scores 60 per cent or more in the TET exam will be considered TET pass. School Management (Government, local bodies, government aided and unaided) a) May consider giving concession to a person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled person, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy b) should give weightage to the TET scores in the recruitment process, however qualifying TET would not confer a right of recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

The ratio of the scores in the REET exam to scores in the board and graduation is 9:1. Earlier, this ratio was 7:1. According to BSER, the educational scores in board and graduation will constitute 10 per cent and the scores earned in the REET exam will constitute 90 per cent of the weightage.

A: 

The REET Level 2 final result was released for all the subjects on September 15, 2023, on the official website. The REET level 2 result is released on the official website of Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, Jaipur as a PDF that comprises the roll numbers of the qualified candidates and cut off marks for the REET level 2 exam. The candidates can check their result by following the steps given below:

No, you will not get a teaching job after qualifying the REET exam as it is only a eligibility exam taken to determine the eligibility of the applicants to teach in primary and upper primary classes. To ensure the job as a teacher in the schools of Rajasthan the candidates have to take the teachers recruitment exam conducted by the Rajasthan government or take the interviews by the schools (Government aided, unaided, private schools) NCTE guidelines for TET jobs (9b) A person who scores 60 per cent or more will be considered TET pass. School Management (government schools, local bodies, aided, unaided) should give weightage to the TET scores in the recruitment process. However, qualifying for the TET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/ employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

REET 2024 Normalisation Formula

Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan normalises the results to avoid the variability raised in the results during the multiple shift exam process. The normalisation process makes it simpler to fetch the result which evaluates the performance of the appeared candidates in the REET 2024 exam. The normalisation formula is given below for the REET 2024 exam

Sij = µ + ((Xij - µi)/ σi) * σ  

Where, 

Sij = Scaled Marks of jth candidate in ith shift 

µ = Mean of raw score of third shift 

Xij = Raw marks of jth candidate in ith shift 

µi = Mean of raw scores of ith shift 

σi = Standard Deviation of raw scores of ith shift 

σ = Standard deviation of raw scores of third shift

All REET-qualified candidates are provided with an eligibility certificate which is now valid for a lifetime. It is compulsory for candidates to hold the REET certificate to apply for teacher vacancies in the state. Candidates must note that merely qualifying the REET 2024 examination does not ensure any job. Candidates need to apply for teaching jobs in various government, private, or public sector schools in Rajasthan. Q:   What is the validity of REET certificate?

A: 
The REET Certificate was earlier valid for three years. The Rajasthan Cabinet led by CM Ashok Gehlot on March 12, 2022 extended the REET Certificate validity from three years to a lifetime according to the new guidelines of NCTE. Though the REET Certificate is valid for lifetime, the candidates are allowed to take the REET exam to upgrade their scores. The REET exam is taken every year for the candidates to become eligible for teaching or upgrade their scores. After qualifying for the REET exam the candidates will become eligible for the recruitment exam.

  • Total marks: 150 for Level 1 and Level 2 each
  • +1 for each correct answer 
  • No negative marking for wrong answers
  • Negative marking of 1/3rd marks for unanswered questions
