RRB ALP Exam Centres 2024: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) activated the city intimation slip for the RRB ALP 2024 Technician post. RRB Technician 2024 exam is conducted by RRBs. Candidates must enter the required credentials to check the RRB ALP city intimation slip. Candidates can download the RRB ALP city intimation for appearing in the CBT 1 exam from the official website of the region from where they have submitted the RRB ALP application form 2024. However, the direct link to download the RRB ALP city intimation slip 2024 is provided on this page. It is mandatory to carry the Aadhaar Card and other photo-identity proof to the exam centre of RRB ALP.

It is advised to download the city intimation slip since candidates can make their travel plans accordingly inorder to reach the RRB ALP exam centre. Q:   What is the pattern of question papers in RRB ALP?

In first two CBTs questions will come in MCQ format. The third stage is CBAT, where candidates will be given five test batteries. The CBT carries 75 objective-type multiple-choice questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence, and Reasoning, General Science and General awareness on current affairs. The test carries a total of 75 marks. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. The standard of questions in first stage CBT is framed as per the educational qualification prescribed for the posts. The pattern for second stage is divided into parts-A and B. Part A of the second stage CBT comprises 100 objective-type questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering and General Awareness on Current Affairs. Q:   When RRB ALP notification 2024 was released?

A:

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released a short notification for RRB ALP 2024 recruitment. The detailed notification was released on January 20, 2024. A total of 5696 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment process. The exam is conducted for candidates in the age group of 18 to 30 years and who have completed Class 10/SSLC. The recruitment is done for the post of Assistant Loco Pilots and Technicians. This year, the age limit for ALP post has been revised. Earlier, the age limit for ALP was 18 to 28 years. The revised age limit is 18 to 30 years.

Q:   Will I be provided free travel pass for RRB ALP exam?

This facility is available only to SC/ST candidates. While filling up ONLINE application, such candidates,  should choose 'Yes' from the drop down under 'Do you wish to avail free rail travel pass for the exam and fill up 'the nearest Railway Station'. It is the responsibility of the candidates availing free travel authority to give the correct name of the Railway Station in online application, failing which their travel authority may get rejected while obtaining reservation. They are also required to upload their Caste Certificate.

The medical standards prescribed for RRB ALP exam are given below:

Q:   Is CBAT mandatory for all posts in RRB ALP?

A:

In RRB ALP & Technician exam, only those who have applied for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and cleared second stage of, need to appear for CBAT. CBAT is for the candidates who have applied for technician post only. Candidates equal to eight times the number of ALP vacancies are called for CBAT based on the performance in Part A of second stage CBT, subject to qualifying the Part B. Candidates are required to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT. The questions in CBAT are in English and Hindi only. There is no negative marking in CBAT. To draw the merit list of ALP,  70 per cent weightage is given to Part A of second stage CBT and 30 per cent in CBAT.

A:

Candidates from all streams can become a loco pilot after completing Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT/Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the prescribed trades/3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical /Electronics / Automobile Engineering/Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of IT.
