RRB Group D scorecard is released along with the result. Candidates need to download their scorecard by logging into their accounts with user ID and password. The scorecard display details such as candidate's name, roll number, registration number, raw score, pro-rata score, normalised score and qualifying status. Q: Is the RRB Group D result announced based on the normalised marks?
Yes, RRB Group D result is declared after the marks of the candidates are normalised using the equi-percentile method. The percentile score of each candidate is converted by RRBs into normalised marks by interpolation of the raw marks into the base shift. The calculation of base shift is done using the standard mathematical formula of interpolation. The purpose of interpolation of the raw marks into the base shift is done to decide the minimum qualifying marks as well as give weightage in marks to CCAA candidates.
Q: Is there any qualifying marks in RRB Group D exam?
Yes, there are qualifying marks in RRB Group D exam. The qualifying marks for UR and EWS categories are 40 per cent while it is 30 per cent for OBC (Non Creamy Layer), SC and ST. Candidates need to secure both the qualifying marks and overall cut off marks. The category-wise qualifying marks in RRB Group D exam are given below.

What is RRB Group D percentile based normalisation?
RRBs will use percentile-based normalisation for the calculation of RRB Group D scores. In Percentile-Based normalisation, the marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each shift of examinees. The percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular percentile in that examination. The percentile score of each candidate will be converted by RRBs into normalised marks by interpolation of the raw marks into the base shift. The calculation of base shift will be done using the standard mathematical formula of interpolation. The purpose of interpolation of the raw marks into the base shift is done to decide the minimum qualifying marks as well as give weightage in marks to CCAA candidates.
