SBI normalisation is an important aspect of the exam. The prelims and Mains exams of SBI Clerk are held in various shifts, therefore, normalisation is applied to calculate the scores of candidates. SBI Clerk normalisation is done since there is some variation in the level of difficulty among with the shifts. SBI uses SBI Clerk normalisation to deal with the type of fluctuation. To balance the candidate's marks, SBI Clerk normalisation is followed which helps in adjusting the scores of all candidates. Banking exams that are conducted in different shifts do follow the normalisation process to normalise the marks secured by candidates. SBI Clerk exam is conducted to select candidates for the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales). SBI Clerk normalisation is using the equi-percentile method.

SBI Clerk exam day guidelines are given below:

  • Candidates need to carry the prelims admit card along with the Mains admit card to the exam centre
  • Candidates must paste their photographs on the admit card and staple the photocopy of the photo-identity proof
  • Candidates must bring two additional photographs, the same as the one pasted on the admit card. Without the two additional photographs, candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates must bring glue for pasting the photos on attendance sheets

SBI Clerk Mains Shift Timings

SBI Clerk mains exam is conducted for candidates who have qualified the prelims exam. The mains exam was conducted in two shifts. SBI PO mains shift timings are 9 am to 11.40 pm and 2.30 pm to 5.10 pm. The reporting time for the morning shift is 8 am whereas the reporting time for the afternoon shift is 1.30 pm. After uploading the photograph, signature, left thumb impression and SBI Clerk handwritten decalaration, candidates should check that the images are clear and have been uploaded correctly. A:

The following items are not allowed inside SBI Clerk exam centre:

  • Any stationary item such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner are not allowed
  • Any communication device such as bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, etc. is not allowed.
  • Other items such as goggles, handbags, hair-pin, hair-band, belt, cap, watch, camera, any metallic item, any eatable item opened or packed, any other item which could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices such as camera, blue tooth devices, etc. are not allowed

SBI Clerk Shift Timings 2025: General Instructions

Candidates can check below the guidelines related to SBI Clerk 2025 exam:

  • Bring the call letter with the photograph affixed thereon, a photocopy of photo identity proof stapled with it, and the same (currently valid) photo ID in original and two additional photographs
  • Candidates must bring valid photo identity_proof may be PAN Card/Passport/Permanent Driving license Card with photograph/Bank Passbook with photograph/Photo Identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer or a People's representative on official letterhead / Valid recent identity Card issued by a recognised College or University I Aadhar E-aadhar Card with a photograph / Employee D in original.
  • Candidates must report at the examination venue 15 minutes before the reporting time
  • Ration Card and Learner's Driving License will not be accepted as valid ID proof
  • Registration at the exam venue will be done through photo capture. Photo captured will be matched with the photo uploaded by you in the application
