Candidates should note that these preparation tips will help them fine-tune their preparation during the last days leading to the exam. During the SBI Clerk preparation, candidates should focus on revision. They should not touch any new topic or else it will lead to confusion. Candidates must memorise the important formulas and theorems. For efficient time management during exams, candidates must learn the shortcut tricks of solving questions, especially for Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. SBI Clerk 2023 Exam Pattern

SBI Clerk prelims exam comprises three sections-English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The test paper carries a total of 100 questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The duration of the exam is one hour.

The mains exam of SBI Clerk comprises four sections: General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The test paper carries a total of 190 questions. The total marks for the test are 200. Candidates are given 2 hours 40 minutes to solve the question paper. There are sectional timings for each section.

SBI Clerk Preparation Tips for English Language

If you have better command over grammar rules and vocabulary then surely you can score better in this section. Start this section by solving Error Spotting, Sentence Improvement, and most importantly sentence rearrangements. Most scoring questions of this section are Reading Comprehension. Try to read the paragraph carefully and remember key points which you think are important.

SBI Clerk Preparation Tips for Numerical Ability 

Questions in this section are asked from Simplification, Data Interpretation, Number Systems, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, etc. You must try to attempt first those questions in this section that you think are less time-consuming and can be solved with simple calculations with accuracy. Attempt the Arithmetic and high-level Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency questions at the end.

SBI Clerk Preparation Tips for Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude

This section is important, as it is known to be scoring. Try to attempt questions on Syllogism, Data Sufficiency, miscellaneous questions, and Analytical Reasoning questions first as it can save you much time. While solving questions based on the Seating Arrangement, do not make multiple diagrams and try to consider all the possibilities firsthand and later eliminate those cases. This will help you to solve Seating Arrangement questions in less time. If you feel stuck on any question then leave that question and try other questions.

SBI Clerk Preparation Tips 2023 for General/ Financial Awareness

To score good marks in this section, go through the last six months' current affairs topics. Read newspapers and magazines daily to keep yourself updated with current events.

Candidates can check below a few general tips and tricks to crack the exam:

Solve questions with speed and accuracy

There are sectional timings in SBI Clerk exam. Hence, your speed should be the same in all the sections of the exam. Besides, the speed you need to solve the questions with 100 per cent accuracy to avoid getting negative marks. The best way to increase speed is by taking sectional mock tests to understand the time management for each section.

Focus on weak areas for the last time

After taking a few mock tests, figure out the areas you are unable to score or the topics in which you have low confidence. Practice only those for a few days.

Take mock tests 

Solve at least three to four mock tests to get yourself accustomed to the SBI Clerk exam day events. This way you will be able to perform with full potential.

Do not start new topic

In the last few days, it is advisable to focus on the topics that you are already acquainted with. Starting a new topic at this time will only lead to confusion and make you nervous.

Do not study too much before the exam

At this point, it is important to keep an active and fresh mind to perform better in the exam. Do not study too much before the exam and get at least eight hours of sound sleep to keep yourself fresh and healthy.
