SSC JE Notification 2025: Exam Dates, Registration, Vacancy, Results

The SSC JE 2025 Application Status will be released on the official website. Steps to check your application status:

1. Visit the website of your respective SSC zonal office: You can find the links for each zone on the official SSC website.
2. Look for the "Admit Card" or "Application Status" section.
3. Enter your Registration ID/Roll Number and Date of Birth (or follow the specific instructions provided).
4. Click on "Search Status".

The minimum educational qualification for the SSC JE (Junior Engineer) exam can vary depending on the post applied for. Generally, the educational qualification required for SSC JE is a three-year diploma in Engineering (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) from a recognized university or institute.

Here are the specific educational qualifications for different streams:

• Junior Engineer (Civil):
  • A three-year diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute, or
  • A qualification equivalent to a diploma in Civil Engineering from the Armed Forces.
• Junior Engineer (Electrical):
  • A three-year diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute, or
  • A qualification equivalent to a diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Armed Forces.
• Junior Engineer (Mechanical):
  • A three-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute, or
  • A qualification equivalent to a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Armed Forces

Candidates are advised to reach the SSC JE exam center well before the reporting time mentioned in the SSC JE admit card. The reporting time and GATE closing time are mentioned on the SSC JE admit card and candidates should carefully note the timings to avoid any last-minute hassles. It is advisable to reach the exam center at least one hour before the reporting time to ensure that there is sufficient time for security checks and other formalities. This will also allow candidates to familiarize themselves with the exam center and settle down before the exam begins. Candidates should also factor in any possible delays due to traffic, public transport, or other reasons, and plan their travel accordingly to avoid reaching late. It is important to note that no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the GATE closing time under any circumstances. Therefore, candidates should ensure that they reach the exam center on time and carry all the necessary documents and items as mentioned in the SSC JE admit card to avoid any inconvenience on the day of the exam.

SSC JE age limit varies as per the post applied by a candidate. However, it varies from 21 years to 32 years. SSC JE age limit is mentioned in the official notification of the exam. The Commission provides the age relaxation for to certain categories of candidates. The candidates can checl the age limit for various posts below in the table:

The application fee for SSC JE exam is INR 100. However, the fee is exempted for females of all categories and candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD/ ExS. The candidates can pay the SSC JE application fee through online mode. However, the SSC provides multiple modes of online payment that are given below:

• BHIM UPI
• Net Banking 
• Visa Card , MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card

Earlier, the SSC used to accept the application fees online and offline both but from 2023 onwards the SSC JE application fees can only be paid online. 

The SSC JE application form 2025 will be available on the official website of the Commission. Candidates will be able to fill out the application form for SSC JE 2025 in two parts - registration and application.

Candidates need to follow the given steps for SSC JE registration 2025:

• Visit the official website - ssc.nic.in
• Click on 'New User? Register Now' link
• Fill all the required details such as ID number, name, parents' names, gender, date of birth, category, Class 10 exam details, level of educational qualification, address, mobile number, etc.
• Submit the form and registration number will be generated

After registration is completed

• Upload the signature and photo 
• Pay the application fee 
• Submit the application form and take a printout of the SSC JE appliction form

The last date to apply for the SSC JE exam is April 18, 2024. The Staff Selection Commission released the JE application 2024 on March 28, 2024. The Commission provided 21 days to the candidates for filling out the SSC JE applications. After the closing of the application window, the application correction window will be activated on April 22 & 23, 2024. The Commission will not extend the application date for the year 2024 after April 18, 2024.

Staff Selection Commission SSC has announced the exam date of the Paper 2 of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2024. The SSC JE Paper 2 will be held on November 6, 2024. 

SSC JE exam is conducted in two modes- i) Computer Based Test and ii) Conventional Mode. The details of these modes have been given below for the candidates:

Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode:

The SSC JE Paper 1 (Objective Type) exam is conducted in CBT mode. Candidates have to answer multiple choice questions using a mouse or a touch screen. 

Conventional Paper-Pen Mode: 

SSC JE Paper 2 (Convntional Type) exam is conducted in offline pen paper mode. Candidates have to write down answers on the question sheet provided. The mode of Paper 2 also depends upon the specific job profile.

To conclude, SSC JE Paper 1 is conducted in online mode (CBT) whereas Paper 2 can be either in CBT or conventional paper-pen mode depending on the specific post/subject.
