Q:   What is the application fee for SSC JE exam?

A:

The application fee for SSC JE exam is INR 100. However, the fee is exempted for females of all categories and candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD/ ExS. The candidates can pay the SSC JE application fee through online mode. However, the SSC provides multiple modes of online payment that are given below:

  • BHIM UPI
  • Net Banking 
  • Visa Card , MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card

Earlier, the SSC used to accept the application fees online and offline both but from 2023 onwards the SSC JE application fees can only be paid online.

Q:   What is the last date to apply for SSC JE 2024 exam?

A:

The last date to apply for the SSC JE exam is April 18, 2024. The Staff Selection Commission released the JE application 2024 on March 28, 2024. The Commission provided 21 days to the candidates for filling out the SSC JE applications. After the closing of the application window, the application correction window will be activated on April 22 & 23, 2024. The Commission will not extend the application date for the year 2024 after April 18, 2024.

SSC JE exam is conducted in two modes- i) Computer Based Test and ii) Conventional Mode. The details of these modes have been given below for the candidates:

Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode:

The SSC JE Paper 1 (Objective Type) exam is conducted in CBT mode. Candidates have to answer multiple choice questions using a mouse or a touch screen. 

Conventional Paper-Pen Mode: 

SSC JE Paper 2 (Convntional Type) exam is conducted in offline pen paper mode. Candidates have to write down answers on the question sheet provided. The mode of Paper 2 also depends upon the specific job profile.

To conclude, SSC JE Paper 1 is conducted in online mode (CBT) whereas Paper 2 can be either in CBT or conventional paper-pen mode depending on the specific post/subject.
