SSC JE 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will soon release the SSC JE 2024 Tier 2 result. Once released, candidates will be able to check the SSC JE 2024 Tier 2 result from the official website or via direct link provided here. The SSC JE 2024 Tier 2 exam was held on November 6, 2024. On the other hand, the SSC released the final vacancies for the SSC JE 2024. The total number of vacancies are now 1701 instead of 1765. Earlier, the commission revised the vacansies 1765 from 968.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Junior Engineer (JE) exam is a highly competitive and sought-after exam for engineering graduates looking for government job opportunities. The SSC JE exam is conducted annually by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit Junior Engineers for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts in level-6 (INR 35,400-1,12,400) of the pay matrix of the seventh Central Pay Commission under various departments of the Government of India.

SSC JE 2025

The Commission announced the tentative SSC JE 2025 Tier 1 tentative dates in the annual calendar. According to it, the SSC JE 2025 application process for Tier 1 tentatively will start on August 5, 2025 and will end on August 28, 2025. Further, the SSC JE 2025 Tier 1 exam will be held tentatively between October and November 2025.

SSC JE Application 2024

The SSC closed the application window on April 18, 2024. The SSC JE application could be filled out in two parts: i) One-time Registration and ii) Exam Application. The steps to register for the SSC JE exam are given below

• Go to the official website-ssc.gov.in
• Click on the link “Register Now” available at the right corner home page.
• Fill in Aadhar number/ Identity card number, name, father’s name, mother’s name, and date of birth as per your matriculation certificate.
• Fill in gender, highest educational qualification, mobile number, email ID, and present and permanent address.
• Now, save these details and confirm your mobile number via OTP. Your Registration number and password will be sent to your registered email ID and mobile number.
• Log in again using your login credentials and change your password.
• Fill in category, nationality, visible identification mark, and benchmark disability (if any).

Upload a scanned copy of your recent passport-size photo and signature as specified below:

• Save the information provided so far, review the details, and click on “Final Submit”.
• Two different OTPs will be sent to your email ID and Mobile number, enter any one of them in the designated space.
• Click on “I Agree” below the declaration to finish the registration process and proceed to fill out the online application form and fee payment.

Prerequisites for SSC JE 2024 Registration 

Before beginning with the registration process, candidates must have the following documents ready to fill out the application form quickly and correctly:

• A Valid and Active Email ID
• Candidates scanned passport size photos and signatures with dimensions as specified
• Aadhaar Card or any other photo ID proof such as Voter ID card, PAN, Passport, Driving License, and School/ College / Employer ID
• Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking details in case of online fee payment
• Educational qualification details such as percentage/grade/ CGPA etc
• Any past work experience details needed for the post the candidate is applying for

Part 2 – Online SSC JE Application Form

After the completion of the registration on the SSC exam portal, the candidates have to log into their registered account. The detailed steps to fill out the application form are given below:

• Click on Apply for Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying and Contracts)
• Indicate 3 SSC JE exam centers within the same region as per your preference
• Give details if you are Ex-servicemen, EWS, PwD, willing to use the services of a scribe, or seeking age relaxation
• Select the post you wish to apply for, and indicate your highest qualification and stream
• Click on I Agree, fill in the captcha code, preview the form, and submit the form to proceed to fee payment if you are not exempted from fee payment
• Make the fee payment and take a printout of the application form for your records
