SSC Stenographer 2024 recruitment notice will be released soon. SSC Stenographer exam is conducted for recruitment to Stenographer Grade C (Group B Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade D (Group C) for various ministries/ departments/ organisations in the Government of India. Only those candidates who have the required skills in Stenography are eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates are selected based on Computer Based Examination (CBE) and skill test.

SSC Stenographer 2024 Recruitment: Registration Process
SSC Stenographer application process comprises the following steps:
- Visit the official website of SSC
- Only online applications are accepted for the recruitment exam
- Click the registration link on the home page
- Enter the registration details
- Registration number and password are generated
- Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature
- Proceed to fill the application form
- Pay the application fee which is INR 100 (Women, SC, ST, PWD, Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from fee payment)
- The fee can be paid both online and offline
- Submit the application form

SSC Stenographer vacancies are released along with the notification. First, the tentative SSC Stenographer vacancies are released. The final vacancies are released after the completion of the SSC Stenographer recruitment process.
SSC Stenographer Recruitment: Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The Computer-Based Test according to the SSC Stenographer exam pattern comprises three sections. The total marks for the test are 200. The test will consist of 200 objective type multiple-choice questions. Candidates will be given two hours to solve the paper. The minimum qualifying marks for UR are 30 per cent, 25 per cent OBC/EWS, and 20 per cent. In skill, test candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi. Candidates need to type the dictation at the speed of 100 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m for Stenographer D post.
SSC Stenographer syllabus for General Intelligence & Reasoning includes topics of both verbal and non-verbal type. The General Awareness section tests a candidate’s knowledge of current affairs. The English Language and Comprehension tests a candidate’s understanding of grammar and vocabulary.
SSC Stenographer Recruitment: Mode of selection
The selection process comprises a computer-based test and skill test. Based on the marks of the computer-based exam, candidates are selected to appear for the skill test. The skill test is mandatory but qualifying in nature. SSC will fix category-wise qualifying marks for skill tests for each post. Candidates who will qualify the skill test will be considered for the final selection on the basis of their merit. Candidates are considered for final allocation based on their marks in the Computer-Based Test and preferences of posts provided by them at the time of document verification.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducted the Stenographer Grade 'C' and 'D' Examination 2024 on 10th and 11th December 2024. The tentative answer keys were released on 16th December 2024.

At times due to the heavy load at the server, the admit card page takes time to load. Candidates are advised to keep patience and then download SSC Stenographer admit card. Candidates should enter the login credentials correctly inorder to download SSC Stenographer admit card.
