The UPSC conducted the UPSC CSE Main exam 2024 till September 29, 2024. As per the official timeline, the Commission releases the admit card for any exam, three weeks before the exam. The Commission released a notice in this regard on March 19, 2024. The UPSC 2024 exam was postponed because of the General Elections in the country. The candidates will be required to download their UPSC CSE admit card 2024 to know their exam centre for the UPSC 2024 exam. How to download the UPSC Admit Card 2024?
Candidates can download their UPSC admit card by following the steps mentioned below:
- Visit the official website of UPSC (http://www.upsc.gov.in/).
- Click on the Admit Card link available on the home page of the website.
- Read the instructions given on the page and click on the Yes button.
- Select any of the given two options – By Registration ID or By Roll Number.
- Enter registration ID and date of birth (if ‘By Registration ID’ is selected) or roll number and date of birth (if ‘By Roll Number’ is selected).
- Click on the Submit button.
- Download the UPSC admit card and take two printouts for the exam day.

The candidates are intimated through the message on the phone that the UPSC e-admit card is available for download. The UPSC admit card is released online only and it is also called as the UPSC e-admit card as per the official UPSC terminology. The UPSC admit card is released separately for all the stages of the exam. Every stage of the exam has a distinct UPSC admit card and the candidates will get the successive stage's admit card only if they qualify for the previous stage of the UPSC exam.

How to download UPSC Admit Card if Registration ID is not available?
- Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to recover/ re-generate their registration ID:
- Visit the official website of UPSC (http://www.upsc.gov.in/).
- Click on the Admit Card link available on the Home page of the website.
- Read the instructions given on the page and click on the Yes button.
- Click on the link, “Forgot RID’
Enter the following details:
- Name
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
- Date of birth
- Captcha code as shown on the screen
- Click on Submit.
On clicking the button, a registration ID will be re-generated.

The photo of the candidate is also printed on the right corner of the UPSC admit card. UPSC generate a copy of the image uploaded at the time of the UPSC application process.

In case, candidates are not able to download their admit card, they should contact the commission immediately. The official website informs, “Information in this regard can also be obtained from the Facilitation Counter located in the commission’s office either in person or over phone Nos. 011-23381125/011- 23385271/ 011-23098543.”

UPSC admit card is a legal tender, but it requires an additional document for proving of identity of the candidate.
