If you want to enjoy your college life while pursuing your life goals, this is the place to be.
Placements: The placement quality and quantity have decreased compared to before, with only a few big companies having placement opportunities. Around 5–10 of my batchmates from my course got placed. The average package was not that high; I think you get better placements in top colleges like Hansraj.
Infrastructure: There's no hostel facility for students and the infrastructure is improving. Compared to the top DU colleges in India, this is not the best. The library has good book sources and is a sound environment if you want a place to study peacefully. The canteen has very cheap and good options, especially if you're a PG student trying to control your expenses.
Faculty: When I was asking people for their review of KNC, the first line was 'good faculty'. It took me some time to realize that KNC has the best faculty! Faculty tops the list of things I love about KNC. The curriculum is the same as DU, and your options for DSE differ as per college faculty. I had good DSE options.

A girls' college that provides a very high ROI.
Placements: Being one of the top college of campus of Delhi University it does have a impressive history of placement. We have an active placement cell in our college which provides us with great opportunity. An average student of kamala nehru college pursuing B.A. in Economics hons gets a placement of around 4 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The college has a above average infrastructure. There is lack of a very basic facility which is a girls hostel. It does have other facilities such as gym, computer labs, maintained garden and ground, etc. The college also has its own waste management system.
Faculty: Talking about the faculty very nice compared to other co-ed colleges. We have a very strict and well behaved system of attendance and series of assignments. Exams are conduct twice a year. The faculty is friendly and are willing to help the students at any time.
Other: B.A. in economics is an emerging field and has a very high scope in future. There are multiple event that take place through out the year.

Satisfied because of faculty, placements and facilities.
Placements: In this session of 2024, almost 40–45 percent of students were placed, in which 10–12 percent are those who didn't even participate in placement and rather took drop to prepare for competitive exams and almost 14–15 percent of them went for masters. The average package this year was 4 LPA, and the highest package went 6.40–7 LPA. Top recruiters for this course in KNC are Wipro, Zomato, Google, IBN7, and iACT Global. Almost 40–45 percent of students manage to get an internship in this course. Students get placed for roles like financial management, business journalism, data analytics, quantitative research, academics, etc.
Infrastructure: Kamala Nehru College is a very small area, and hence sometimes there is a shortage of classrooms. The library of our college is good but most of the fans don't work and even after complaining a lot, the college authorities are not talking about any steps. The library is the best place in our college to focus and use the internet because no network works in our college area so we entirely have to depend on college wifi, which is only accessible in the library.
Faculty: The economics department of our college has one of the best faculties; teachers are very experienced and knowledgeable, and the faculty and teaching quality are satisfactory. Yes, economics is basically a science subject that makes us think scientifically and practically. Also, the professors really teach well and make sure to engage us in practicality through assignments and explanations. Well, the toughness of exams depends on how you study; still, I won't say economics is an easy subject; it takes lots of handwork and guts to quality this exam with good marks. The passing percentage of our college in this subject is above 85 percent. I would rate the semester exams between average and moderate.
Other: I chose this course not only because of my interest in it but also because of the scope of this subject in Delhi university. The best thing about economics is it's an ever-demanding course since the world works on money and markets; also, economics opens doors to competitive exams, higher studies , corporate jobs and many more. Though I like my college, if I had to make improvements, I would install working fans in classes and library; I would make the campus bigger, but the college is already under construction and adding more building to our college. Our campus is surrounded with lots of trees, greenery and animals, which is the best part about our college; there's so much peace and good crowd. There are always events being conducted in our college by different departments and society. The college conducts a yearly fest in February; apart from that, other departments conduct their own fests, like NCC, etc. The college give many scholarships, like merit and national scholarships, scholarships for ward of ex-servicemen, scholarships for those affected in riots and one for Hindu people who don't speak Hindi.

KNC - Kamala Nehru College .
Placements: You become eligible to sit for placements in your 5th Semester usually. Only a handful of companies come and some companies even ask for money like Rs. 100 to sit for placements. I don't think the highest package was more than 3.5 LPA. Placements are few and I'd say there's only a 30% chance of getting placed by the college. You'll have a better chance of securing a job on your own. Research and risk were two categories that are most likely to get you a job. I am working in the risk department in an MNC and found the job on my own.
Infrastructure: The library here is quite extensive and has the best Wi-Fi connection. You can easily read or finish your assignments here. Multiple sports are available here with a gym facility but it is usually sub-par and the college mostly doesn't win anything. Classes just have projectors and a normal blackboard. No ACs. There are multiple societies with categories like Entrepreneurship cell, drama society, English singing society (Zephyr), Hindi Singing society ( Sangeetika), Dance Society, Environment Society, Departmental Societies, Placement cell, etc.
Faculty: The course curriculum is pretty standardized across DU. Although the syllabus keeps changing and the meetings to decide that are pretty late readings are available at both south and north campus. You can take numbers from your Seniors. I chose Eco ( Hons. ). Due to my interest in analytical work and the practicality of the subject. Teachers are experienced and mostly permanent teachers are Ph.D. They have to know the subject but it's upon them if they are in the mood. The exam schedule was also uniform across DU.
Other: Many cut-off lists were taken out. In the first list, I secured admission to the B.Com programme. They have 3 days from when the list is taken out to submit your documents. My percentage was 95.5. As my preference was B.A. (Hons. ). Economics so I waited for more lists to come out. Finally, in the third list, I qualified for Eco Hons. The course at KNC.

Absolutely satisfied because of facilities, faculty, opportunities, placements, etc.
Placements: After clearing CUET, I enrolled in this course as well as in this college. After completing graduation, you will get opportunities for placements but it all depends on your skills. If your CGPA is above 8 and you have highly skilled knowledge, you can get placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good classrooms are pretty nice and spacious. Eco-friendly environment is there. There is no hostel you have to live in PG or flats. The canteen is very nice and spacious for students; they feel friendly environment around themselves. Ground, cafeteria, etc.—many places are in the college.
Faculty: The all professors are too good. All the KNC staff are so nice and helpful. They have highly skilled knowledge. Economics Honors is the best course in DU and if you have this course, hard work opportunities will come to you . Hard work is the key to success. You can clear semester exams with passing marks.
Other: Economics Honors is the best course for anyone who wants to go in the field of economists and also in civil services. It will be very helpful. There are lots of events that take place and festivals also happen every year . If you join this college, you will enjoy all the festivals, events, campus surroundings, and activities.

No, maths is not compulsory rather it's an optional subject which you can take up for your own benefit or desire. Economics (Hons) doesn't require maths. All the best.
