LSR college review as a 1st-year student.
Placements: Yes, the placement of LSR is tremendous, with a student from the Economics department being offered 49 LPA, which was the highest in the whole of Delhi University. According to last year's placements, the average package stood at 11.8 LPA, and the median package stood at 9.4 LPA. Jobs were offered by top companies like McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting Group, and Kepler Cannon.
Infrastructure: The new academic block has huge classrooms to accommodate around 60-75 students. Each classroom has a projector and whiteboards with well-ventilated windows. The classes for tutorials are quite small, and often students have to sit outside the class. The library is well-functioning as it provides almost all the books that the students need. The overall infrastructure is just like Delhi University, i.e., red walls. We also have a canteen and Nescafe, which has a huge menu. Yes, the college has a hostel, but it is not functional as of now.
Faculty: The faculty of LSR is quite knowledgeable, and they offer so much to the students. They are professional when it comes to studies, but they are helpful as well. They make time from their schedule to clear the doubts of students regarding studies or otherwise. All the faculty members have completed their graduation and post-graduation from well-known colleges in their fields. Most of the teachers who teach theory subjects teach through presentations. As for my course, i.e., BA (Hons.) Economics, the curriculum is curated in such a way that all the theory is based on real-life examples.
Other: The main reason why students choose LSR as their priority is academics. The campus is as still and peaceful as it could be. You can find any corner of the campus, and you will find no noise surrounding you. You will be there with the greenery and nature. Yes, the campus is filled with nature, greenery, and friendly animals.

LSR - The beauty of DU's top 3.
Placements: Approximately 50% of ot batch is placed through campus placements Including both off and on campus, 80% get placed with 20% pursuing higher degrees the highest package- 49LPA Average package- 11LPA the lowest package- 6LPA Top recruiting companies- McKinsey, EY, TCS, Microsoft, Infosys, Cisco, BCG, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, Bank of American, American Express, Blackrock Top roles- business analyst, associate consultant, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is very poor The washrooms are hygienic Otherwise the classrooms are well maintained There is a lot of greenery and the lawns and garden are duly maintained The campus overall is very beautiful There are no hostel facilities There is a medical room for all medical facilities There is a cafeteria with all types of food fitting students coming from all over india There is a Nescafe For sports and games, there are designed areas such as basketball court for basketball, football ground for football, tennis court for lawn tennis, TT, Gymnasium etc.
Faculty: Teachers are either Professors or Assistant Professors, so they are very qualified. Plus, since LSR is among the top 3 colleges of DU, education is taken very seriously here. There are a lot of IAS projects, tests, aptitude tests, etc., to prepare students for the semester-end exams as well as to ready them for the market. The semester exams for Eco Hons are particularly extremely difficult. If you get an 8+ CGPA out of 10, you are considered a good student. The pass percentage is 50%, as recently released by the DU administration.
Other: I chose this course because it guarantees good placement opportunities in the future. I think the transition from 12th-grade math to college-level math was very difficult because we went from a level 3 to a level 9, so it is very difficult to catch up. There are many societies and clubs in college. There are various ethnic groups as well, who conduct their own respective festivals. There are 3 annual fests: Tarang, Noor, and Bahubashi. The crowd here is very good, and since top students nationwide come here, there is always a sense of healthy competition.

A really wholesome experience.
Placements: The placements in this college are very decent, especially for students pursuing Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics Hons. This year, the average package stood at 10.5 lakh per annum, while the highest went up to 48.9 LPA. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Infosys, Bank of America, etc. Summer internships are really competitive in this college, where you may get different internship offers from the placement cell. Top roles offered can be data analyst, financial analyst, and consulting.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is way better than most colleges of DU, but many things are not available, like a proper sports complex or having AC in classrooms. Overall, the infrastructure is decent, with a library, canteen, administrative block, gazebos, Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms with working projectors.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and understanding, though you may find some not that helpful or nice, but overall you may find really amazing faculty. The curriculum decided by the University of Delhi is followed along with continuous assessment and internal assessments. The curriculum does help in making the students industry-ready only in case of practical subjects like maths, statistics, and commerce. Semester exams are tough, but the continuous exams are tougher when it comes to quizzes and tests.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in Economics, and the best things about my course are that it’s worth the hype and competition. The thing I would love to improve is removing the unnecessary burden of VAC and SEC since these skills don’t bring much value and take up a lot of time. The fest life here in the college is decent, though the events aren’t that nice.

The best college ever!, The highest DU placements.
Placements: The highest placement of 49 LPA this year, which is the highest in DU. Average package around 14 LPA. Median around 12 LPA. LSR has the highest placements from the past two years. Top companies include BCG, Deutsche Bank, World Bank, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, library, medical facilities, etc., are well-provided. Food in the canteen is tasty and affordable. Sports are also taken care of along with studies. Classrooms are well-maintained, especially in the new building. All the labs have proper equipment and laptops.
Faculty: Teachers are good, highly qualified, intelligent, and diligent. Most of the teachers are quite helpful. The course curriculum in DU is helpful but does not make one industry-ready. The end semester exams are difficult, and proper knowledge of subjects is required.
Other: Economics Honours is one of the best courses, especially from LSR. The course can be made more policy-based than mathematical.

The magic of LSR unveiled.
Placements: Economics hons is a course in which the highest number of students are placed in the entire DU circuit. The average package of LSR is around 11 LPA and the median package is 9 LPA. The top recruiters which come to LSR are consulting giants like BCG, Kepler Cannon, Barclays, Accenture, etc. The top roles offered in my course is research and development, consulting, HR, etc. Internship offers also keep getting circulated throughout the year, with stipends ranging from 5,000 per month to even 20,000 per month, depending upon your role and qualifications.
Infrastructure: All the classrooms are fully equipped with projector and Wi-Fi facilities; the libraries are spacious and contain a vast array of books related to all the fields, the classrooms are a bit small though. Both the new building and old building classrooms are not spacious enough to accommodate more than 80 students, due to which the classes feel congested sometimes. The canteen food is pretty good, with a wide variety available to choose from, plus we have a mother dairy and a Nescafe kiosk, which helps keep us refreshed. There are many sports available in our college under NSO, including basketball, football, tennis, table tennis, etc.
Faculty: The teachers here are very qualified and knowledgeable, with a keen desire to help solve all our doubts and make us understand concepts easily. The course in economics is a hectic course compared to other lighter courses, and that's why you need to give extra attention to all the subjects right from the beginning to prevent any kind of difficulty in the future. The end-of-semester exams are decent—not easy but also not very difficult. DU keeps the passing marks very minimal, so failing isn't really a concern; the pass percentage is almost 100%.
Other: Economics honors is one of the topmost courses offered by Delhi University, with the highest placements. I chose this course based on my keen interest in economics and also my passion for mathematics. One thing that I wish to improve about my course is to reduce its hecticness and give the students some time to become familiar with and settle down to the subject. The campus of LSR is lush green with a peaceful, serene beauty that reflects its femininity and race. It's always well maintained. The festival here isn't that good, though. It's average and doesn't meet expectations, given LSR having such a brand value.
