Q:   Which are the central universities accepting CUET UG scores?

Q:   How many universities accept CUET score?

A:

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score is accepted by more than 250 universities (central, state, private and deemed) across India. On the basis of the CUET UG score, candidates are offered admission to UG programme of the participating colleges. Candidates applying for admission to UG programme must ensure to check the course eligibility criteria before filling the application form.

Some of the top CUET accepting universities with NIRF ranking 2024 are:

NameStateNIRF Rank 2024
Jawaharlal Nehru UniversityDelhi2
Jamia Millia IslamiaDelhi3
Banaras Hindu UniversityUttar Pradesh5
University of DelhiDelhi6
Aligarh Muslim UniversityUttar Pradesh8

Q:   What is the selection process for B.A and what is the minimum CUET score required?

A:

The selection process for a B.A. differs from one college to another. While many central universities and colleges have come to accept CUET scores as an admission requirement, many colleges still proceed with their entrance test. To get admission into a particular college, the candidate must go through the college's official website and find out the requirements. The CUET average score previously was required around 700 and more for better colleges, while now that the pattern has changed and students only need to opt for a lesser number of subjects, the cut-off will also depend on the same.

Q:   I scored 724/800 in CUET. Is there any chance to get admission for B.Com (Hons) in North Campus?

A:

Yes, it is expected that DU's CUET passing marks can range between 400 and 500. Some of the top colleges don't accept this range of marks. Top Colleges of DU namely Hindu College, Sri Ram College of Commerce, Miranda House, and Lady Shri Ram College for Women accept scores of around 700 and above in CUET.

CUET is scored out of 800, and the exam comprises multiple-choice questions. The highest cut-off marks for DU admissions typically fall between 650-700. For admission to the B.Com (Hons) course, a score above 700 is considered good. For admission to the English (Hons) course, a score above 700-720 is considered good.

Q:   What is the CUET score required to get admission in DU for a BCom?

A:

Admission to undergraduate programs in Delhi University, including B.Com, is typically based on various criteria, one of which might be the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). CUET serves as a standardized assessment tool to evaluate students' aptitude and suitability for different courses offered by universities across India. Listed below is the CUET score of 2023 (General Creiteria):

Course2023
B.Com. (Hons.)99.75
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons.)99
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)99.75

FAQs on DU Colleges accepting CUET 2025

Q. How do I apply to DU colleges using my CUET score?

Ans. To apply to DU colleges using your CUET score, follow these steps:

  • Register for CUET: First, you need to fill out the CUET application form on the official website.
  • Select Delhi University: While filling out the form, choose Delhi University as one of your preferred universities.
  • Appear for CUET Exam: Complete the exam and wait for the result.
  • DU Admission Portal: After results are announced, apply through Delhi University's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal, using your CUET score for seat allotment.

Q. Is there a separate merit list for each DU college?

Ans. Yes, each DU college prepares a separate merit list for admissions based on CUET scores. The merit list is formulated by considering the course preference, category, and seat availability in that particular college. The cut-off for each college may differ, even for the same course, depending on factors like competition, seat intake, and the popularity of the program. Therefore, candidates must check individual college merit lists to know their admission status.

Q. Are there any DU colleges that don’t accept CUET scores?

Ans. No, all undergraduate admissions in Delhi University (DU) colleges have been conducted through CUET scores starting from 2022. CUET is now the standardized admission process for all DU colleges, including popular ones like Hindu College, and Miranda House. Therefore, no DU college offers admission without CUET scores for UG programs. However, specific eligibility criteria and cut-off marks based on CUET scores might vary by college and course.

Q. Can I apply to multiple DU colleges with one CUET score?

Ans. Yes, you can apply to multiple DU colleges with a single CUET score. CUET provides a centralized admission process, allowing candidates to select multiple colleges and courses across Delhi University during the application phase. Once the CUET results are declared, students can apply to their preferred DU colleges based on their scores and the cut-offs released by the colleges for each course. However, each college may have different cut-off requirements for the same course.
