Candidates who have not yet completed the syllabus must focus on completing the important topics first in October. November month can be used in revision and practice.

Analyse the syllabus and mark what topics are tough for you and what is the easiest. Know the section you face the most difficulty in solving and have most of the doubts in. Such topics must be weighed.

Q:   Is it tough to get into Symbiosis Law School LLM?

A:

The answer to this depends upon the qualification of candidates. To get admission to LLM course the candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • Candidate should have obtained a five-year of three-year LLB degree from any recognised university
  • They should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in their law degree
  • Those belonging to SC/ ST category should have obtained 40% marks to be eligible
  • Candidates awaiting results for the final year LLB degree examination are also eligible to apply, however, they should be able to submit their marksheet at the time of counselling

Q:   What is a good score for SLAT?

A:
A good score for SLAT results depends on the cut-off of the Symbiosis Law School in which you want to enrol. For example, if a candidate scores a 91.5 percentile in the SLAT exam in a particular year and he or she wants to get admission to SLS Pune, which accepts candidates with a minimum percentile of 75, a 91.5 percentile is definitely a good score for admission to SLS Pune. Thus, to ensure whether percentile scores obtained by candidates in the SLAT exam are good or not, they need to check the cut-off score of the SLS (SLS Pune, SLS Nagpur, SLS Noida, and SLS Hyderabad) in which they want to apply for a 5-year LL.B. Course.

Q:   How much should I score in SLAT to get a good SLS as a general category candidate?

A:

All Symbiosis Law Schools are equally good in terms of the quality of law education. Thus, after getting a good score in the SLAT candidates can get admission to any of the four Law Schools of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Getting admission to an SLS depends on the cutoff marks decided by it. Thus, if a candidate wants to get admission to a Symbiosis Law School, he or she needs a SLAT score equal to or more than its cutoff. Generally, 65% marks in the SLAT are a good score to get admission to an SLS.

3. Select the study material

The last few months must be dedicated to revision. Do not revise using too many books. Concentrate on a few quality study materials like 1 or 2 books, mock papers, previous year papers and that will be all.

4. Examine yourself

This is very important. Your preparation can be pointless if you do not analyse it. You need to know if the topics you have prepared are ready to be attempted on the exam day. You need to know how much time you are taking in solving a question from a particular topic and what is the accuracy. If the time and accuracy are not up to the mark then your preparation is not exam day appropriate.

To solve this dilemma, solve a lot of mock tests and solve as many previous year papers as you can.

5. Revise important topics

There are books and materials that will push you into an ocean of topics to study. But not all topics are asked in SLAT. As per the analysis of the exam from the past few years, there are some topics that are repeatedly asked in SLAT. Check below what are the important topics to focus on last two months preparation of SLAT 2025:

Q:   Which is the most difficult section of SLAT?

A:

The most difficult section of SLAT cannot be specified because the difficulty level of a subject or exam section is different for all candidates. For example, some candidates have expertise in Logical Reasoning and Analytical Reasoning. Thus, these two sections of the SLAT exam will be easier for them than other exam sections. It can be said that the difficulty level of a SLAT section for a candidate is based on his or her expertise in it. If we analyze the sectional difficulty for SLAT based on the patterns of question papers from previous years, General Knowledge is the most difficult section because questions in this section can be asked from anywhere from static GK topics to current affairs.

Q:   What is the SLAT merit list?

A:

The SLAT merit list for a particular year is a list containing the name, registration number, and roll number of the candidates who achieved marks equal to or higher than the SLAT cut-off for the SLAT entrance exam conducted in the same year. The SLAT cut-off is made up of scores secured by candidates in the SLAT exam, PI and What. A merit list includes the name, roll number, registration number, collective marks secured by them in SLAT What, and PI their merit rank, and category. Based on the selection of candidates in the SLAT merit lists for a particular 5-year LL.B. Programme, seats are offered to each candidate. They need to book their respective seats by paying the admission before the due date ascertained by the SLS from whose merit list they get selected.

Q:   How can I get into Symbiosis Pune for BA LLB?

A:

Symbiosis International University (SIU) conducts the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) for admission to the BA LLB course every year. To apply for SLS entranecexam, candidates must have cleared Class 12th exam from a recognised board of education with a minimum of 45% aggregate in case of General category candidate.

For candidates belonging to SC or ST category, the minimum required percentage is 40%. Also, the candidates whose Class 12th results are awaited can register for the entrance test. Provided, they will have to submit their passing certificate at the time of admission to the university.

Q:   What is the difficulty level of SLAT?

A:

SLAT, which stands for Symbiosis Law Admission Test, is the entrance examination conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU) for admission to its undergraduate law programs, including BA LLB and BBA LLB. The difficulty level of SLAT can be categorized as moderate to moderately challenging.

Here are some key points to consider regarding the difficulty level of SLAT:

1. Subjective Perception: The difficulty of SLAT may vary from one candidate to another, depending on their individual strengths and weaknesses. Some candidates may find it relatively easier, while others may perceive it as moderately challenging.

2. Sections: SLAT typically consists of sections like Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and General Knowledge. Each section may have varying levels of difficulty, with some being more challenging than others.

3. Competitive Nature: SLAT is a competitive entrance exam, and it is designed to assess candidates' aptitude for legal studies. Therefore, it includes questions that test logical and analytical reasoning, legal concepts, and reading comprehension.

4. Preparation Matters: The difficulty of SLAT can also depend on the level of preparation of the candidate. Those who have thoroughly prepared for the exam, including solving practice papers and taking mock tests, are likely to find it more manageable.

5. Time Management: Like many other entrance exams, SLAT places a premium on time management. Candidates need to answer a significant number of questions within a limited time frame, which can add to the perceived difficulty.

6. Previous Year Papers: To gauge the difficulty level more accurately, it's a good practice to review previous year's question papers and sample papers, which are often available on the official SLAT website.

In summary, while SLAT is not considered exceptionally difficult, it does require focused preparation, particularly in areas such as logical and legal reasoning. Candidates who have a strong grasp of these concepts and practice effectively are better equipped to perform well in the exam.

Q:   Can I get Symbiosis Law School, Pune LLB with 950 score in SLAT?

A:

First of all it is not a valid score. Generally it is between 50-59.

The candidates appearing for the upcoming SLAT Exam 2023 must check the previous year's cut-off. It is very important as it will help them to understand the exam difficulty level (each year) and the estimation of the SLAT 2023 Expected Cut Off.

6. Concentration is the key

No time to waste now. The last two months means around 60 days only. Make sure to study every day for SLAT. No matter how long you study - 4 hours or 8 hours, the preparation time must have your full concentration and dedication. Plan out each day or make a weekly plan, it depends on you and your daily routine. Be disciplined about it and you will definitely ace the exam.

7. Mock tests

Mocks tests are important. Preparation for SLAT 2025 which will be held in CBT mode is not complete without mock tests. Aspirants of SLAT 2025 must take 2 mock tests per week to have perfect preparation. While doing the mock tests, candidates must focus on improving their speed, accuracy and time management.

8. Leverage Social Media for SLAT Preparation

There two ways of using media to boost your SLAT preparation:

a. Join SLAT-Focused Groups and Forums

  • Look for groups specifically for SLAT aspirants on Facebook Groups & Reddit Communities. These communities often share valuable resources, study tips, and important updates.
  • Join or create WhatsApp/Telegram Study groups where you can discuss topics, share notes, and clarify doubts with fellow aspirants.

b. Follow Educational Pages and Influencers

  • Follow pages and influencers who regularly post content related to SLAT, law exams, or general study tips.
