Result for HPNLET 2018 has been declared by Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU) on June 2, 2018. Candidates can check the HPNLET result for BA LLB/BBA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD course admissions on the official website of the law entrance exam. To check the HP-NLET 2018 result candidates need to click on “HPNLET 2018 Result” tab.
The result for law course admissions at HP NLU is declared in such a way that separate merit lists are released containing names of shortlisted candidates along with their score in the exam. The HP national law university has declared the Complete Result, All India Rank list and All HP State List. Under the latter two merit lists, separate lists have been released for students falling under different categories such as General, Defence Personnel (DP), Kashmiri Migrants (KM), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Scheduled Caste (ST) and Scheduled tribes (ST).

Candidates can secure admission in BA LLB/BBA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD courses offered at Himachal Pradesh NLU if they secure a spot in HP-NLET merit list. Apart from making it to the merit list of HPNLET exam aspirants need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as specified by the national law university of Himachal Pradesh. The official website of HPNET 2018 informs that aspirants meet the eligibility criteria for HPNLET exam if:
- They secure 60 marks or above (General, Persons with Disabilities, Migrants of Jammu and Kashmir).
- They secure 45 marks or above (SC and ST category).
In a scenario wherein two or more students secure the same rank/marks in HPNET 2018 then tie-break is done as per the below mentioned rules:
- Candidate with higher marks in 10+2 or equivalent exam is ranked higher.
- If tie still remains, then candidate with higher marks in Class 10 is ranked higher.
- If tie still remains, then higher age/older candidate is ranked higher.

Rank 2 holder in HP-NET PhD exam is Sahil Malhotra from Himachal Pradesh with a score of 91.5 followed by Nidhi Sharma (Rank 3) who is also from Himachal Pradesh with a score of 85.
