However, now the CLAT Consortium has announced the revised CLAT 2021 exam date. Along with the date, the Consortium has also announced the mode of the CLAT 2021 paper.

The CLAT 2021 exam will now be held on July 23 from 2:00-4:00 PM in offline mode. Will CLAT 2021 be held in online or offline mode?

Not much has changed since last year, as social distancing is still the need of the hour to curb the COVID-19 virus. Conducting the law entrance exam in offline mode increases the chances of spreading the virus as almost all the stakeholders including the aspirants, invigilators and other exam centre authorities will be involved in touching the CLAT papers and other important items.

Conducting the CLAT exam in online mode, on the other hand, will ensure no-touch arrangements wherein candidates can easily give the exam on the assigned system without having it touched by multiple people.

However, the Consortium has stuck to the offline mode of the exam. Also, like every year, the law exam will be held as a centre-based exam conducted at multiple cities across India.

When will CLAT 2021 be held?

As stated above, the CLAT 2021 exam will be held on July 23. The Consortium of NLUs will resume the law admission process through CLAT exam similar to every year. The CLAT registrations 2021 will end soon. Candidates can fill the CLAT application form latest by June 15.

To ace the law entrance exam, it is important for candidates to be well aware about the CLAT pattern, syllabus and best books. Apart from that, candidates need to have a clear and well thought-out CLAT preparation strategy.

Till the time the mode of CLAT is not confirmed, candidates are advised to keep preparing for both the modes (online and offline) of the exam. For the same, candidates are advised to regularly keep practicing the offline CLAT questions papers and keep attempting the online CLAT mock tests. The National Law University (NLU) admission prospects are slim in view of a CLAT rank of 7616 and an EWS rank of 640. Most of the NLU cut-off ranks tend to be exceptionally lower as compared to general category and EWS candidates, even in some of the most sought-after courses like BA LLB.

With 62.25 marks in the CLAT exam, your rank will likely vary depending on the difficulty level of the exam that year and the overall performance of other candidates. However, based on previous trends, a score of around 62.25 can typically place you in the range of 3000-5000 in the CLAT rankings.
