Q:   What is the best strategy to crack CLAT in first attempt? Which section should I concentrate more on?

A:
Hi, There is no such common strategy to crack CLAT. Strategy differs from person to person depending on which section you are good at. Further, to crack a good college, you cannot focus on one section more and ignore the other altogether. What I can do is provide you with you some important tips that you can keep in mind with preparing for CLAT and which would increase your chances of acing it. 1. Exam oriented preparation: By this, I mean focus on those areas and topics which have been frequently asked in the exam. Do you spend too much time on the questions which constitute very less portion of the exam? For eg, do not spend 3-4 days on a topic from which only 1 or 2 questions are asked. Instead, focus on the topic from which around 5-6 questions are asked. 2. Focus on current affairs: Doing current affairs would take very less time and you would be able to complete your syllabus of around 30-35 marks. Focus on current affairs after the month of October since a majority of questions are asked from there only. 3. Do not ignore maths and logical reasoning. You won't be able to crack top law school without maths and logical reasoning. 4. For legal, refer to past year papers. Apart from these, practice regularly and give sufficient mock tests. I think that would help you achieve your target.
