Q: Â What is the validity of the CLAT 2025 scorecard?
CLAT score card is valid for admission to the 2025-26 academic session only. CLAT 2025 result cannot be carried forward for admission to the 2026-27 academic session. Hence, in case a candidate fails to qualify for CLAT 2025 or unable to take admission in that academic year, then they have to appear for CLAT next year and seek admission. Beyond a year, the CLAT scorecard will just be another document or a record to prove the appearance in CLAT.
Q: Â What should we do after the CLAT result?
The CLAT admission process after the results are declared is as mentioned below:
- CLAT counseling: The number of candidates invited for counseling will be FIVE times the number of seats available in each category. The consortium will upload the list of eligible candidates on its website before the start of counseling registration.
- CLAT cutoff: The Consortium of NLUs will release the CLAT cutoff on its official website at the time of seat allotment. The cutoff is the minimum marks/rank that aspirants need to secure in order to get admission to a 5-year LLB or one-year LLB program.
Q: Â What is the difference between CLAT scorecard and CLAT merit list?
Candidates must note that all participating institutes in CLAT will release a separate category-specific cutoffs for every course they offer. The CLAT Cutoff 2025 mentions the ranks of the candidates who are eligible for admission to the college. However, it does not releases the marks scored by the candidates. But, the higher the score, the better is the rank.
CLAT cut-off 2025 will depend on various factors such as the total number of candidates, seat intake, the difficulty level of the exam, the category of the aspirant, and the performance of the candidate. In case the difficulty level of the exam is high then the cut-off marks and score are expected to go down.

Q: Â Can a student study for 1 month and get a good score in CLAT?
It is possible for a student to prepare for CLAT in one month and score well, but it depends on various factors such as the student's aptitude, previous knowledge of the topics, dedication, and hard work. If a student is already familiar with the basics and has a good understanding of the exam pattern and syllabus, then one month can be enough time to revise and practice. However, if a student is starting from scratch, one month may not be enough to cover all the topics and practice enough. In such cases, it is recommended that the student follows a structured study plan, focusing on the important topics and sections of the exam, and devotes enough time for practice and revision. In summary, while one month may not be enough time for everyone to prepare for the CLAT it is possible to achieve a good score with focused and consistent effort.
