FTII JET Exam Analysis 2025: Check Detailed Paper Analysis & Review

In the Film and Television Institute of India Joint Entrance Test (FTII JET) there are two papers - Paer 1 and 2. It is a bit tough to crack the FTII JET exam because FTII is the premier film making school in India and aspirants from all over India apply for this coveted exam making the competition a bit tough. To pass through the competition candidates will have to make a proper exam strategy and allot equal time to covering the whole syllabus, solving the question papers and leave good time for revision. In the FTII JET exam students will be judged on their intellectual skills, general studies, English, general knowledge and the prescribed syllabus.

Yes, the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) offers a course in Sound Recording and Sound Design. Candidates will have to clear the FTII JET exam to get admission in Sound Design course. The Sound Engineering Course in Sound Recording & TV Engineering will teach students about the various technical & aesthetic aspects of Sound, enabling them to create effective soundscapes.

There is a cut off which is defined after the exam is conducted. The FTII JET cut off is defined based on various factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, total number of applicants who appeared in the exam and the shifts under which the exam is conducted. Candidates who score equal to or more than the FTII JET cut off will qualify in the exam. On clearing the Joint Entrance Test (JET), students can get admission into Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) as well as the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute of India (SRFTI). These two premiere institutes are the conducting body of FTII JET as well. Candidates who qualify in this exam will be eligibile to take up film making related courses in either of the two institutes.
