FTII JET 2025 Admission Process
Candidates' performance in the FTII JET 2025 Written Test is an important component for consideration in the selection process. Based on performance in the Written Test, the list of candidates short-listed for the next level of selection will be made available on the websites of both institutes. Candidates can go through the points mentioned below to understand the admission process:
- Based on the performance in Paper-I, and Paper-II (of JET), only the selected number of top-scoring candidates (based on the respective category) will be evaluated, as per the ratio mentioned in the evaluation process. Roll numbers of the candidates shortlisted for evaluation of Paper II will be published on the JET 2025 website.
- On the basis of the performance in Paper-I + Paper-II, candidates will further be called for Audition (only for Screen Acting), Orientation and Interview for all other courses except Screen Acting.
- For all other courses except Screen Acting: On the basis of the performance in the Written Test (Paper-I & Paper-II) + Orientation + Interview, the final joint merit list of FTII & SRFTI will be published.
- For Screen Acting: On the basis of the performance in the Written Test (Paper-I & PaperII) + Audition, Result-1 will be prepared. Further, on the basis of orientation and Interview, Result-2 will be prepared. Final selection will be on the basis of Result-1 and Result-2, each containing a 50% weightage.
- After publishing joint merit lists, preferences will be obtained from the shortlisted candidates. Based on the preference(s) and merit, candidates will be selected for a particular course in FTII & SRFTI. This allocation of seats to these institutes will be done based on a Joint Seat Allocation (JSA) system.

- Further, based on the evaluation of Paper-I, Paper-II of only a selected number of top-scoring candidates (based on the respective category) will be evaluated using the following ratio against each seat:
1. For all the courses except FTII’s Screen Acting course:
i) Unreserved, OBC-NCL and Gen-EWS: 1:15 (One seat:15 answer sheets)
ii) SC, ST, Gen-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD & Gen-EWS-PwD: 1:25 (One seat:25 answer sheets)
iii) SC-PwD and ST-PwD: 1:35 (One seat:35 answer sheets)
2. For FTII’s Screen Acting Course*
i) Unreserved, OBC-NCL and Gen-EWS: 1:45 (One seat:45 answer-sheets)
ii) SC, ST, Gen-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD & Gen-EWS-PwD: 1:75 (One seat:75 answer-sheets)
iii) SC-PwD and ST-PwD: 1:105 (One seat:105 answer-sheets)
* (The eligible candidates of this course need to additionally go through the Audition Test process)
In the case of common courses, the ratio for shortlisting candidates at each stage is based on the total number of seats available at FTII and SRFTI.
Q: Is there any provision for re-evaluation of the FTII JET result?
No, there is no such provision for re-evaluation provided by the exam conducting authority for the FTII JET result. However, if candidates find any issue with their answer sheet they can request a review of their answer scripts within a specified time frame after the result declaration but the chances of redressal is very low.
