MAT exam 2025 will be conducted in February, May, September and December. AIMA announced the MAT exam schedule of February 2025 on December 24, 2024. in February 2024, MAT will be conducted in CBT and PBT modes. Candidates interested in appearing for MAT 2025 can fill up the online form. MAT score is accepted by over 800 B-Schools in India. Admission is based on MAT exam score and GD/PI.

Q: What are MAT eligibility criteria?
Since MAT is an entrance exam for post graduate level management courses, the minimum eligibility criteria for MAT exam is graduation. Candidate should have completed graduation in full-time or part-time mode in Arts, Commerce or Science from a recognised university. The eligibility criteria for MAT PBT, CBT and IBT are the same. Final year graduation students who will be giving their final exam or awaiting results are also eligible to appear in MAT. There is no minimum score requirement in MAT. Candidates need to have passing marks in graduation.
However, MBA colleges have the eligibility criteria of minimum 50 per cent in graduation (45 per cent for SC/ST/PWD), thus candidates who aspire to pursue MBA need to ensure that they score a minimum of 50 per cent in graduation. SC/ST/PwD candidates need to have a minimum of 45 per cent in their Bachelor's degree programme. There is no age bar or appearing in MAT. Fresh graduates as well as working professionals can apply for MAT.

MAT 2025 Registration and Application Process
MAT application forms for CBT and PBT modes are same. The MAT February 2025 form can be filled in online mode only. Check the MAT application process below:
- Open AIMA MAT website i.e. mat.aima.in
- Click on Register option
- Enter basic details and select a password to register
- Use the OTP received on phone to verify phone number
- Log in to access the MAT application form 2025
- Pay the fee amount via debit/credit card or net banking
- Select exam mode and two test cities (for PBT/CBT)
- Fill the remaining fields in the form
- Upload pass port size photo and signature in prescribed format
- Select five institutes for AIMA to send your MAT score
- Download the copy of duly filled application form after submission

MAT preparation is possible in six months. Since the difficulty level is low to moderate, candidates can score high with basic preparation of Data Analysis & Data Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning and Language Comprehension. To prepare for MAT 2025, candidates should first decide upon the examination phase (February, May, September and December). Then they should check MAT syllabus and MAT books. Q: For how long is MAT score valid?
MAT score is valid for admission for the same academic year in which the candidate has taken the exam. For example, MAT 2024 score will be valid for admission for 2024-2026 MBA batch only. If a candidate wishes to drop a year after taking the MAT exam, then they will have to appear for the exam once again next year. They should however check the eligibility or selection criteria to have a clarity of MAT score of which session/phase is valid for admission in which academic year. For example, for 2025 academic session MAT September 2024 and MAT December 2024 scores will be valid for admission to some MBA colleges who have the admission cycle of January-February. Whereas, colleges who conduct admission in March-May accept MAT February exam scores for admission. To simplify, MAT test takers must not try to use their score for admission more than one year after appearing for it. They should appear for it again and use the latest score for admission.
