2nd/ Special OJEE 2024 counselling process will begin on August 7, 2024, at 5 PM. The Special OJEE result 2024 was released on July 9, 2024. The exam was conducted from June 24, 2024, to June 27, 2024. The Special OJEE exam date, time and admit card was released prior to the exam. Special OJEE application form 2024 was released on June 4, 2024. Candidates were able to register online on the official website of OJEE- ojee.nic.in. The exam was conducted in the computer-based test mode. The last date to register for Special OJEE 2024 was June 13, 2024. 

Special Odisha Joint Entrance Exam or Special OJEE is conducted by the OJEE Cell for students who wish to take admissions through OJEE but were not able to appear for the exam. Such students can apply through Special OJEE 2024. Special OJEE 2024 will be conducted for admissions to BTech, LeTech (Diploma), LeTech (B.Sc), MBA, MCA, MTech, MPlan, MArch and MPharma courses under OJEE. Special OJEE is also called the 2nd OJEE. The 2nd/Special OJEE 2024 exam will be conducted for admission to first-year courses in all private and government colleges in Odisha against the vacant seats left after the first round of counselling of OJEE and the students belonging to states other than Odisha are not eligible for admission to government colleges, however, can opt for private colleges. Special OJEE result 2024 has been announced on July 9, 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can download their Special OJEE rank card online. Follow the steps mentioned below to know how to download the Special OJEE rank card 2024:

  • Go to the official website of OJEE
  • Click on the 'Rank Card - 2nd/Special OJEE 2024' link on the homepage or copy the following link in the web browser: https://cdn.tcsion.com//EForms/configuredHtml/2344/89709/login.html
  • Enter the application number and date of birth in the DD/MM/YYYY format
  • Now, click login button
  • Special OJEE result cum scorecard will appear in the PDF format which can be downloaded

Steps to Download the Special OJEE 2024 Admit Card

Follow the steps mentioned below to know how to download the Special OJEE admit card 2024:

  • Visit the official website of OJEE
  • Click on the '2nd/Special OJEE admit card' link on the homepage
  • Enter the application number and date of birth in the DD/MM/YYYY format
  • Enter the captcha code 
  • Now, click login. 
  • The Special OJEE admit card will be displayed on the screen which can be downloaded
  • Click on the download button and take a coloured printout of the admit card.

If candidates are not able to download their admit card (who have successfully submitted their applications before the last date), then they can visit https://odishajee.com/centre4/ and enter their application number and directly check their exam centre and other details.

How to Fill Special OJEE 2024 Application Form?

Follow the steps mentioned below to know how to fill the Special OJEE application form 2024:

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for OJEE counselling?

A:

Students who wish to participate in the OJEE counselling must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria. 1. Candidate must have completed at least 17 years of age 2. Candidates who wish to participate in BAMS/BHMS counselling must have qualified in NEET (UG) with a valid rank 3. Candidates' parents should be a native of Odisha state. 4. Candidates have to present the Resident/Nativity Certificate during document verification 5. Candidate must have scored 50% aggregate in Physics Chemistry and Biology in Class 12 for General category candidates. The minimum aggregate for SC/ST is 40%. 6. Also, the candidates must have passed English Physics Chemistry and Biology subjects individually.

Q:   What is the fee for OJEE counselling?

A:
The OJEE counselling process will be conducted for admission into different courses in the Odisha state. Students will have to fill the online application form in which they have to fill the college or courses of their choice. Candidates who wish to take part in the OJEE counselling process, need to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 450. Along with this, students will have to present original documents at the time of document verification at the nodal centers. Candidates will be allotted the seats provisionally and courses at first round of counselling. After the final seat allotment, students will have to pay the part admission fee of 10,000 or INR 5,000, based on the category online.

Q:   Is migration certificate necessary for MBA in OJEE counselling?

A:
Selected candidates need to appear for a web-based counselling that will be organized for admission to different courses. Candidates need to register themselves to be able to appear in the counselling. The registration fee for the same is Rs. 450. Candidates need to present the following documents at the time of counselling: High School Mark sheet Age certificate Intermediate (+2) or equivalent Mark sheet Intermediate Certificate (if issued) 10+2+3 mark sheet & degree Transfer Certificate Migration Certificate (if issued by the Board) Admit card of respective Entrance Test Certificate of Reservation (If any).
  • Visit the official website of OJEE
  • Click on the ‘2nd/Special OJEE Registration’ link on the web page or copy the following link in your web browser: https://admissions.nic.in/OJEE/Applicant/Root/Home.aspx
  • Click on the Fresh Candidates Registration button
  • You will be redirected to a new web page wherein you need to fill in details such as the name of the candidates, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, etc. and register by creating a password.
  • Next, submit the details and you will be given an application ID after confirmation
  • Login with your registered application number and password to fill out the application form 
  • Pay the application fee in online mode using Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking and wait for the fee status to be updated
  • After confirmation, submit the application form and get a printout of the same for future reference.

Instructions Regarding Special OJEE 2024

Mentioned below are some important instructions regarding Special OJEE 2024:

  • Special OJEE 2024 will be conducted in the computer-based test mode in the English medium.
  • Special OJEE will be conducted for admissions to BTech, Le-Tech (Diploma), Le- Tech (BSc), MBA, MCA and MPharma courses under OJEE.
  • Three new courses, MTech, MPlan and MArch have also been added for admission through Special OJEE. 
  • The second/Special OJEE 2024 exam will be conducted for admission to first-year courses in all private and government colleges in Odisha against the vacant seats left after the first round of counselling of OJEE.
  • Candidates belonging to states other than Odisha are not eligible for admission to government colleges. They can opt for private colleges. 
  • Students holding a rank or have appeared for JEE Main 2024 or OJEE 2024 do not have to appear for the Special OJEE exam.
  • Candidates must reach the exam centre at least an hour before the exam along with the admit cards.
  • Candidates cannot leave the exam centre before the exam is over. 
  • Candidates must not carry any electronic gadgets, books, study material, etc. to the exam centre. 
  • The exam will have MCQ-type questions. Each question will carry four marks. One mark will be deducted in case of incorrect answer. 

2nd/Special OJEE Syllabus 2024

The syllabus for Special OJEE 2024 is the same as the OJEE syllabus. For the BTech course the syllabus of Special OJEE is the same as JEE Main syllabus.

OJEE Counselling 2024

Candidates can sit for OJEE counselling for the final seat allotment. The counselling takes place online and offline as well. After registering for the OJEE counselling students will have to register online and then lock their choice. The counselling cell releases a seat allotment list for colleges available based on the choice filled by the candidates and the merit list.

Students who appear for the Special OJEE exam and will be awarded ranks must note that the ranking for this course starts from 1100001. Special OJEE counselling registrations began on June 4, 2024, and the first phase of OJEE counselling has also begun. The registration for the MBA, MCA, MTech, MSc courses will begin on August 7, 2024, instead of August 5, 2024. 

Q:   Which documents are required for OJEE counselling?

A:

Candidates should report the counselling centre with original as well as copies of the following documents:

  1. OJEE Seat Allotment Letter
  2. Acknowledgement slip of admission fee
  3. Counselling registration slip
  4. OJEE rank card and result copy
  5. OJEE admit card
  6. OJEE application form
  7. Class 10, Class 12 or equivalent mark sheets
  8. Graduation degree mark sheet, provisional letter and character certificate
  9. Transfer Certificate
  10. Residence Certificate of Odisha (mandatory) from the concerned Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar
  11. SC/ST Certificate by birth issued by the government of Odisha
  12. Income Certificate for TFW candidates for the financial year 2023-2024
  13. Green card issued by the Family Welfare Department, government. Of Odisha 
  14. Certificates/Documents in support of NRI
  15. Candidates under the EWS category have to produce an EWS Certificate from Tahsildar/ Additional Tahsildar
  16. All women candidates have to submit a Resident/Nativity Certificate from the concerned Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar in order to claim the women quota The document verification for the allotted candidates will happen at the Nodal Centre, OJEE Cell at Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar only.

Q:   Will OJEE scores be accepted for Odisha NEET Counselling?

A:

No, admissions to medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses in Odisha are done on the basis of NEET scores only. Scores of OJEE or the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will not be considered for medical or allied course admission. Hence, candidates seeking admission to medical and allied courses in the state of Odisha must have appeared, or planning to appear for NEET and qualify for the exam as well. Admission to Odisha NEET counselling will be done for 85 per cent state quota seats and is conducted by OJEE Counselling Committee.

Q:   What is the process of OJEE counselling?

A:
OJEE counselling is five-step process. Candidates who appeared for OJEE JEE Main NEET or other qualifying entrance exam can take part in the OJEE counselling process. The steps are as under: Step 1. Registration- All the rank holders need to register on the official website by filling in details such as application number, name, gender, course, ranks, marks and date of birth and submit the form and pay the registration fee. Step 2. Choice Filing and Option Locking- After fee payment, students can fill in choices from the list of participating colleges for their selected courses and specialisation and finally lock their choices by freezing and waiting for the seat allotment list. Step 3. Announcement of Seat Allotment- OJEE board releases a seat allotment list for colleges available based on choice filled by candidates and a merit list/rank list Step 4. Document Verification- For confirming their seat at the allotted college/s, candidates should provide documents of eligibility required for the course and also upload the original documents verified and submit a copy of all the documents online. They also need to pay part admission fee. Step 5. Admission Confirmation- After document verification, candidates need to report to the allotted colleges and submit documents and pay the remaining admission fee after the final allotment round.

Q:   What is the float option in OJEE Counselling?

A:
The float option in OJEE counseling means that an aspirant has accepted their allotted seat but wants a better programme. If a candidate chooses the float option, they will retain their current seat allotment but will be considered for higher preferences in the next round. They will lose their previously allotted seat only when they are allotted another seat from their other higher preferences.
The other options in OJEE counseling are "freeze" and "slide". "Freeze" means that the aspirant accepts their allotted seat and does not want to participate in subsequent counselling rounds. "Slide" means that the aspirant would like a better course within the allocated institute.

Q:   Is there a different counselling procedure for Special OJEE?

A:

Yes, the counselling process for the Special OJEE exam begins after the results of the Special OJEE exam are announced. Usually, the OJEE counselling is already underway when the results for Special OJEE are announced. The authorities release a new link for the Special OJEE registration, and the candidates who did not appear for the OJEE exam, can register for the Special OJEE counselling.
