TISS is not too difficult to go along if you have good command over the exam pattern and the subjects. Thus, you will have to cross fewer hurdles if you are well prepared in advance.

TISS conducts a general exam for all the aspirants. Thus, TISS makes its simple and supportive exam for all. Moreover, the level of tension increases only when it comes to GD and PI. Group Discussion is widely considered as the elimination process while PI is considered as the selection process. Thus, the entrance exam is an easy go. GD watches out for the best presentation, communication and other relevant skills to choose the top aspirants. Amongst the chosen ones, PI holds the hand of the selective brilliant aspirants.

  • Share your exam pattern and scoring topics. Mention if there are any changes in the exam pattern

TISS conducts its own exam called the TISS-NET to test students on a certain weightage and know their skills and talents immediately. The colleges include TISS-NET(40% weightage) as an entrance exam, Pre-Interview (30% weightage) and Personal Interview (30% weightage). The weightage of all the three tests is based on TISS-NET marks*(40/100)+GD/PIT marks*(30/50)+PI marks*(30/75). Moreover, the exam pattern remains the same throughout the consecutive years.

  • Is there any coaching required? If not, what study plan should be followed?

If the student is sharp and brilliant enough to know the basic skills and orientation of analytical skills, I think there’s no need to go for coaching. The basic subjects involved with TISS-NET include General English (Grammar), basic Maths (mostly 10th standard), General Knowledge/Current Affairs and analytical/reasoning skills. All these subjects just need a lot of practice. To crack any entrance exam these are the most basic subjects preferred by any college. Thus, one needs to have a grip of these subjects throughout.

  • Challenges faced and how to deal with them

Well, just like every college and course, TISS is not too difficult to go along if you have good command over the exam pattern and the subjects. Thus, you will have to cross fewer hurdles if you are well prepared in advance. Moreover, TISS allows different colleges on the basis of your percentile, if you have prepared well and scored well, you can get your desired branch-college. Somehow, one needs to manage the grab over subjects as well as communication and presentation skills as TISS-NET can get you one step ahead but the challenge lies with PIT and PI.
