The immediate step that you should take after giving the Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test (TISSNET 2020) is to start preparing for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. You will also have to undergo a written ability test and it will be a crucial round of the GD/PI round. Instead of sitting in the room, you can also join one-week communication classes because it will be beneficial for the Personal Interview round.

Be fully focused on general topics or we can say general studies because TISS focuses more on General Awareness section and at the time of the interview, the interviewer will directly focus to know that whether the aspirant is knowing something about current issues or not. For this general study coverage, you should focus more on current issues in India such as Citizenship Amendment Bill, National and International Issues, Business and Economy, social issues, etc. Preparation for GD/PI round in TISSNET exam should be totally based on current issues. You should be good at giving a satisfactory solution because many times the interviewer presented a current issue in front of the students and there, they will check the candidate’s decision-making skills. Be focused on PI because this will be the time where you be analysed by your knowledge from interview panelists. It will be a great chance for the candidate that they should showcase their skills and performance so that they should make them suitable for the great institutions. For the PI round, you should be ready with your own SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat) analysis.  Right now in India, many current issues are going on that is CAA, NRC, etc. So, be prepared for these topics because questions will be directly from these. And if you are applying for the HR-related course in TISS, then go thoroughly the HR concepts. It may be a chance that they are going to ask these concepts. You should be aware of the fundamental rights if you are applying for the society-related courses. Do join some online classes where you will get an ample amount of resources related to your courses for which you are applying. Practice more on soft skills because this is the root of any selection in an interview. Give more timing on reading because it will be beneficial in clearing the depth of the concept of the topic instead of wasting time on social media. Read more books related to your hobbies. Sometimes interviewer may ask questions related to your hobbies.
