NEET or the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is the biggest medical entrance exam in India. Over 20 lakh medical aspirants are expected to appear for NEET 2024, scheduled for May 5. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), NEET is the biggest medical entrance exam. While MBBS and BDS are the most popular choices of courses through NEET, there are several other medical and paramedical courses that are offered through NEET. From the year 2021 onwards, BSc Nursing admission at top colleges are conducted based on NEET scores. This article of Shiksha brings detailed information on the list of NEET courses along with important details such as duration, seats, and top colleges offering the course, among others.

Knowing the NEET courses details will help candidates plan their admission and career path in a better way. Having proper knowledge of the courses offered through NEET would keep students ahead at the time of admission. This would also give them an idea in case they can’t get an MBBS seat, which are the alternate admission options they would be left with.

Some of the above courses, such as BOTh, BASLP, BP & O conduct their admission through Maharashtra NEET counselling. On the other hand, not all the colleges offering the above courses accept NEET scores. The eligibility and admission criteria may vary from institute to institute.

The duration of the above courses is 5.5 years. The duration of paramedical courses such as BPT or BSc Nursing is 4.5 years. All these course curricula include one year of compulsory internship.

In India, there are a total of 706 medical, 313 dental, 914 AYUSH, and 47 BVSc & AH colleges which will accept NEET 2024 scores. There are a total of 20 AIIMS (functional) and two JIPMER campuses.
