How many subjects are there in NEET PG 2024?

The postgraduate National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET PG), conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), does not have any fixed syllabus. Every website that mentions about this examination, states that the syllabus is everything that has been included in the MBBS curriculum. But this does not help those preparing for NEET PG at home, without the aid of any coaching institute. The most common query pertaining to the syllabus of this entrance test is: how many subjects are there in NEET PG 2024? How many subjects are there in NEET PG 2024?

NEET PG question paper can be divided into three sections. Each of these sections can be further sub-divided into the subjects. The table given below enlists total number of question from each subject in NEET PG 2024.

Coming back to the question, how many subjects are there in NEET PG. As per the division in the question paper of NEET PG, the total number of subjects is 14. The division of marks and the number of questions that can be asked from a section has been calculated for these 14 subjects.

However, when you look closely, you will find that section C comprises of eleven subjects. Five short subjects have been clubbed with two major subjects, General Medicine and General Surgery. When you actually start preparing for NEET PG 2024, you will have to read each of these short subjects separately. Thus, during the NEET PG preparation phase, the answer to the above question will be 19.
