NEET 2020 was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on September 13 after a delay of over three months due to coronavirus pandemic. Over 15 lakh candidates appeared in NEET 2020 today, which was held at over 3,800 test centres across India from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The NTA ensured that NEET exam was conducted smoothly with all the safety measures in place for COVID-19. According to the test takers, Physics was most difficult of all the sections. Some students thought Biology section was lengthy and tricky. The Chemistry section has questions based on organic and inorganic topics.

NEET Analysis 2020 by Resonance

According to Resonance, NEET 2020 was of moderate difficulty level. The NEET question paper was on the same lines as previous years, with 45 questions from Physics, 45 from Chemistry and 90 from Biology. Each question carried four marks. Section-wise, Physics was difficult, Chemistry was moderately difficult and Biology was easy.

In Physics, the question were asked from Mechanics, Heat, SHM & Waves, Electro-dynamics, Optics and Modern Electronics. Maximum questions were asked from electro-dynamics (14) followed by Mechanics and Modern Electronics (10 each). There were 5 questions from Heat, 4 from Optics and 2 from SHM & Waves.

In Chemistry, there were 10 questions from Organic Chemistry Class 12. Physical Chemistry Class 12, Inorganic Chemistry Class 11 and Physical Chemistry Class 11 had 8 questions each. Inorganic Chemistry Class 12 had 5 questions and Organic Chemistry Class 11 had 3 questions.

In Biology (Class 11), the maximum questions were asked from Human Physiology (12). Plant Physiology had 8 questions, Cell Biology & Cell Division had 6 questions, Plant Diversity, Animal Diversity and Structural Organisational in Animals topics had 4 questions each, while Plant Morphology and Biomolecule had 3 questions each.

In Biology (Class 12), there were 9 questions from Biotechnology and 8 each from Ecology and Genetic and Molecular Biology. The Human Reproduction and Reproductive Health had 5 questions, and Evolution had four questions. Human Health and Disease and Reproduction in Plants has 3 questions each while Microbes in Human Welfare had 2 questions. Only one question was asked from Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production.

Predict Counselling call with Shiksha's NEET College Predictor

The NEET 2020 answer keys (provisional) are expected to be released in the last week of September and the final answer key will be released in the first week of October. NEET 2020 result is estimated to be announced in the second week of October 2020. As far as last-round NEET PG cutoff is concerned, there are no sectional cutoffs till now. However, to get into the Medical Colleges, the college releases overall cutoff for various quotas, including All India.
