INI CET 2025 seat allotment round-1 result has been announced on December 19, 2024. The counselling result has been uploaded online in PDF format. Candidates can download the round-1 INI CET result 2025 from the official website, aiimsexams.ac.in. Those allotted seats in round-1 INI CET 2025 counselling will have to report for document verification. The reporting process will begin on December 20, 2024. The last date for round-1 reporting is December 24, 2024.

Earlier, choice filling date for round-1 INI CET 2025 counselling was extended. Candidates had to declare choice for college and course till December 18, 5 pm. Based on declared choice, seat availablity, reservation fcators etc, allotment result is published. 

Seat allotment result for mock round INI CET 2025 counselling was announced on December 10, 2024.  AIIMS had started choice filling for mock round counselling on December 5, 2024. The last date for mock round choice filling was December 7, 2024. 

Those who qualify INI CET 2025 January exam with the minimum cut off will be eligible to participate in the counselling. The minimum cut off is different for different category. The qualifying INI CET 2025 cut off is 50 percentile for general category while for the reserved category, the cut off is 45. AIIMS has already released the final seat matrix for INI CET 2025 January session. A total of 1,479 seats will be allotted in January session.

Q:   When will counselling start for INI CET 2025 January session?

A:

INI CET 2025 counselling dates and schedule were announced by AIIMS.  Mock round counselling began with registration cum choice filling on December 5, 2024. Seat allotment for mock round was announced on December 10, 2024. Seat allotment result for round-1 counselling was declared on December 19, 2024. The counselling is held online for seat allotment. Only INI CET qualified candidates can participate in the counselling for seat allotment. A total of 4 rounds of counselling will be held including mock round.

Q:   Who are eligible for the counselling of INI CET?

Those who will qualify INI CET 2025 January session can participate in the counselling round. Candidates have to qualify the exam with the minimum cut off to become eligible for INI CET counselling. The minimum qualifying cut percentile for general and SC/ST categories are 50 and 45 respectively. INI CET 2025 counselling comprises a series of process starts with registration. The result is valid for that particular session only. INI CET January session result and scorecard will be valid for admission to January session only and candidates can't get admission in July session based on result of January session. AIIMS released INI CET July 2025 result on November 16, 2024. The result PDF comprises a list of qualified candidates in INI CET exam. Those who qualify in the exam are deemed eligible for the counselling session for seat allotment.

Q:   What are the passing marks for INI CET result?

A:

Candidates need to score the minimum cut off marks to qualify for INI CET exam. The qualifying marks is different for different category. To qualify for the INI CET exam, a candidate of general category needs to score 50th percentile or above. Candidates who belong to SC/ST category has to score 45th percentile marks to get it through. Based on cut off marks, a merit list is prepared. The merit list comprises eligible candidates to participate in different counselling rounds for seat allotment.

Q:   What is the upper age limit for INI CET?

There is no upper age limit to appear for INI CET exam. At the same time, there is no capping on number of attempts in the exam. Candidates should have completed an undergraduate degree in medical field from a recognised institute/college. They must have scored 55% marks (general category) in qualifying exam. AIIMS, the conducting body will release the official brochure, comprising important dates and details related to exam.

What is INI CET?

INI CET is the abbreviation for Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi conducts the entrance test for admission to PG courses such as Masters of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh). Q:   What is the difference between INI CET and NEET PG?

A:

Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test or INI CET and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate NEET PG both are national-level postgraduate medical entrance exams. A valid score in each exam makes you eligible for admission to various medical courses like MD MS etc. However, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) scores are widely accepted in the country, whereas a few selected institutions accept Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test scores. there are around 16 INIs which accept INI CET score including 16 AIIMS, JIPMER Puducherry, PGI Chandigarh, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, and SCTIMST, Trivandrum.

Q:   Is INI CET exam tough?

Yes. The exam is one of the toughest exam to get admission into PG courses in medical field. However, it can be cracked with proper planning and strategies. Q:   What is INI CET exam?

A:

INI CET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test) is a national level entrance exam conducted by AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) for admission to postgraduate courses in various AIIMS JIPMER, PGIMER and NIMHANS institutes. The exam is held twice a year in May and November and consists of 200 MCQs based on the MBBS syllabus. The exam duration is 3 hours.

Q:   What is the qualification for INI CET?

A:

A candidate must possess MBBS degree for MD/MS/DM-6yrs/MCH-6yrs and BDS degree for MDS courses of a University recognised by the National Medical Commission/Medical Council of India as notified by Govt. of India and Dental Council of India respectively and must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training in certain period of time. They must have scored the minimum marks in MBBS/BDS or equivalent examination. Minimum marks for candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories is 50% while for all other categories including OBC/EWS Category, the minimum mark is 55% in aggregate.

Q:   How to apply for CET exam?

A:

Candidates can apply online for INI CET exam. The application process of INI CET comprises basic and final registration. Candidates do have to complete basic registration first to complete the final registration. Generation of Exam Unique Code (EUC) is mandatory fo complete final registration for INI CET. The basic registration includes basic candidate information and uploading images in right size and format. The final registration includes completing the application form, paying fee, choosing centres etc.

Q:   Can I use NEET PG scores during INI CET counselling?

A:
No. NEET PG score will not be valid for INI CET counselling. Candidates will have to qualify INI CET exam with the minimum cut off percentile to participate in the counselling round. Candidates will have to do registration online to participate in the counselling. Apart from registration, INI CET seat allotment includes choice filling, seat processing, allotment result, and reporting for document verification. 4 rounds of counselling will be held for INI CET seat allotment.

Q:   Is choice declaration mandatory for INI CET counselling?

Choice Declaration is an important and compulsary part of AIIMS INI CET Examination counselling. Candidates must choose the institute and the respective course that they are looking to go forward with . There is no limit of choices, they can choose and unchoose as long as the deadline is not nearby . Candidates must not forget to lock the sureshot choices or they will be automatically locked after the deadline process.

Q:   If I have been allotted a seat in round one of INI CET counselling, can I participate in round two for upgradation?

A:

Yes, you can participate in INI CET 2025 round two counselling for upgradation but there is a condition for that. For upgradation, you have to choose option 2 where you provide willingness to participate in second round. After seat allotment in round-1, candidates have to login and actively choose out of two options. Option 1 says that you accept the seat and don't want to participate in further rounds while option 2 says you accept the seat but you want to participate in second round of seat allocation.

Q:   What is open round counselling in INICET? If I do not take part in round one or round two, will I be able to take part in open round?

A:

So actually, the open round counselling in INICET is held after the first two rounds of counselling. This is not for people who could not allocate a seat in the previous rounds, but for those who fail to attend counselling completely. Such a person will still have the option of getting a seat in institutes.

Yes. You can attend the open round if you have not attended Round 1 or Round 2. The seats at this open round might not be very many, and then your choices might not be as good as in the previous rounds.

INI CET 2025 Analysis/Students' Reaction

INI CET analysis 2025: According to students, the question paper for INI CET 2025 was moderate. There were repeated questions. 60 percent questions were tough 20 each was moderate and easiest one. Most of the students attempted around 150-180 questions. A good number of questions were asked from Anatomy, Pharma, pathology, Medicine, OBS Gynaecology, etc. Most questions were clinical in nature. Overall it was tough than the July session. Candidates must note that AIIMS doesn't release the question paper and answer key for INI CET. However, coaching institutes and other experts release the question paper answer key which helps candidates to predict total marks. Q:   Which topics were difficult in INI CET July 2024 question paper?

A:

According to students, questions from Ortho, Radio, Medicine were most difficult. The overall difficulty level of the question paper was moderate. It must be noted AIIMS doesn't release the official question paper but some coaching centres release the unofficial question paper and answer key right after the exam.

Q:   Does weightage remains same for each subject in INI CET exam?

No. Weightage varies from subject to subject. As per the experts and students, medicine and surgery portion comprises maximum weightage of around 60-70 percent. INI CET 2025 January session admit card was issued to candidates who successfully completed the application process. Q:   What documents do I need to carry at INI CET centre?

Candidates will have to carry a printed copy of barcodded admit card with recent photograph on it to the exam centre of INI CET. In addition to admit card, they will have to bring photocopy of permanent / provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration which is retained at the centre. They also have to bring one of the original photo identity proofs such as Aadhaar, Pan card, Driving license, Passport, Voter ID etc. In case one brings e Aadhaar card at the centre, that should be good quality print out with clear photograph on it.

INI CET 2025 Admission Process

The admission process for various postgraduate courses for July session begins with exam registration. Once candidates complete both the basic and final registration process, they are issued admit cards. After this, candidates have to appear for the examination, which is conducted online at various test centres in India. Those who qualify for the stipulated cut-off become eligible for admission to various masters-level programmes such as MS, MD, MDS, DM, and MCh.

 

Q:   What is the minimum marks criteria for INI CET exam?

A:

Candidates should meet the eligibility requirements set by AIIMS Delhi to become eligible for INI CET exam. The minimum marks varies from category to category. For an example candidates who belong to SC/ST categories should have 50% marks in aggregate while those who fall into category of OBC/EWS, should have scored 55% marks in aggregate. INI CET 2025 Application Form Process

The first step of the INI CET 2025 January session application process is basic registration. Candidates will have to submit basic candidate information as part of the registration. They will have to register themselves on the official website of AIIMS Delhi through a valid email ID and mobile number. Q:   What should be the last month preparation strategy for INI CET exam?

A:

Last month of INI CET preparation should be dedicated forrevision and practicing mock test and sample paper. Ideally candidates should complete all the subjects throughly till one month before the D-day. In this time, aim should be to solve mock test and analyse the result everytime. Candidates should keep this in mind that last month is very crucial as whole topics should be revised throughly with class notes and other study material. Simultenously candidates should target one mock test daily.

Q:   What is the upper age limit for INI CET?

A:

There is no upper age limit to appear for INI CET exam. At the same time, there is no capping on number of attempts in the exam. Candidates should have completed an undergraduate degree in medical field from a recognised institute/college. They must have scored 55% marks (general category) in qualifying exam. AIIMS, the conducting body will release the official brochure, comprising important dates and details related to exam.

Q:   What is good score in INI CET?

A:

According to experts, scoring 160+ marks in INI CET exam is considered good. Candidates who score 160+ have chance to get good college for PG courses. Scoring marks also depends on difficulty level of the question paper. INI CET 2024 question paper was moderate to difficult. More than 180 questions were easy to attempt.

Q:   What is PAAR facility for INI CET?

A:
PAAR stands for Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration. As AIIMS group of Institutions offer various courses in different stream, candidates likely to choose more than one course at a time. For that, they have to register separately. To ease the whole process of registration, PAAR facility was introduced where a unique registration code is generated for each candidate. As per the PAAR facility, INI CET 2023 application form has to be filled in two stages, basic and final registration. Those who complete basic registration are eligible to generate Exam Unique Code (EUC) and proceed for the final registration.
