NEET SS 2024 Application Form: Check Release Date, Exam Fees and Process

The following documents will have to be uploaded while filling the NEET SS 2024 application form.

1. Passport-sized

4. Format: .jpg/.jpeg/.image
5. Maximum file size: 80 kb
6. Resolution:  200 dpi

• Scanned copy of the candidate’s signature

Specifications for signature

1. Must be in blue/ black pen only (preferably fountain pen)
2. Should have a white background
3. Dimension: 6 cm x 3 cm
4. Format: .jpg/.jpeg/.image
5. Maximum file size: 80 kb
6. Resolution:  200 dpi

• Scanned copy of the candidate’s left-hand thumb impression

Specifications for thumb impression

1. Clear impression of the candidate’s left thumb
2. Coloured impression with a white background
3. Dimension: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm
4. Format: .jpg/.jpeg/.image
5. Maximum file size: 80 kb
6. Resolution:  200 dpi

• Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking credentials
• PG qualification details
• State Medical Council/ Medical Council of India registration details

NEET SS 2024 Application Form: Who Can Apply?

Before you decide to fill the application form for NEET SS 2024, check the eligibility criteria prescribed by the NBE. The eligibility factors for this year will be released along with the NEET SS 2024 notification and information brochure. It is expected that the NEET SS 2024 eligibility criteria will be the same as last year. The NEET SS eligibility criteria 2023 were as follows:

• Candidate must possess a postgraduate degree (MD/ MS/ DNB/ Equivalent) from a recognised institution
• Must complete their postgraduate degree on or before September 30, 2024
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council

In case the NEET SS 2024 eligibility criteria are changed, it will be updated here on this page. 

The application form for NEET SS 2024 can be filled in four steps: registration, completing the application form, uploading the images and submitting the application fee. All these steps have been elaborated below for your convenience.

Step 1: Registration

• Go to the official website of nbe.edu.in
• Select "NEET-SS"
• Click "New Registration", under the links section
• To complete the registration process, enter
  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Mobile number
  • Email Id
• Submit the NEET SS registration form
• A confirmation message with the User ID and password will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number

Step 2: Completing the application form

• Using the credentials sent to the registered email Id and mobile number, log in to access the NEET SS 2024 application form
• Now click on "Go to application form"
• Personal details
  • Most of the details in this section will be pre-filled from the registration form
  • Enter mother’s name, father’s name, disability (if any), Identification details and address for communication
• Qualification details
  • Enter UG and PG qualification details along with the SMC/ MCI registration details
• Select the preferred test centre

Step 3: Uploading the images

• Upload the scanned copies of the photograph, signature and thumb impression in the space provided
• Resize the images if they are too large before uploading them

Step 4: Submitting the application fee

• The application fee has to be paid online
• Candidate can use a credit card/ debit card/ net banking to pay the fee
• NEET SS 2024 application fee is likely to be INR 4,250, irrespective of the category of the candidate, as per last year's fee.
