Round-1 Meghalaya NEET 2024 counselling was held on August 28, 2024 in offline mode. Candidates shortlisted in merit list were called for counselling by North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong. The merit list for Round-1 Meghalaya NEET 2024 counselling was released on August 12, 2024. Registration for Meghalaya NEET 2024 counselling had started on July 1, 2024. The last date to submit online application for Meghalaya MBBS admission 2024 was August 15, 2024. The application form for Meghalay NEET 2024 counselling had to be submitted along with the fee, i.e INR 500 plus charges.
It must be noted only NEET 2024 qualified candidates of 17-25 year old are eligible to apply for seat allotment under state quota. NEIGRIHMS, Shillong conducts Meghalaya NEET 2024 counselling in offline mode. The counselling is held at Director's Conference Room, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong. Candidates need to carry the original documents to participate in the round-1 counselling for allotment of 18 seats North East Open Category. Candidates must note that admission to the state quota seats of Meghalaya is done on the basis of marks obtained in NEET 2024. Meghalaya MBBS 2024 Counselling Eligibility Criteria
Domicile: Candidate must be domiciled in the state of Meghalaya and must possess a Permanent Resident Certificate. Exceptions to the above rule are:
- Children of employees of the Central/State/UT Government or All India Services currently posted in Meghalaya
- Children of employees of the Central/State/UT Government on deputation to Meghalaya
Age: The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2024.
Qualification: The candidate must have passed Class XII or equivalent from a recognised institute/board with Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English as core subjects. Those awaiting the result of class XII or equivalent can also apply for the counselling of Meghalaya MBBS 2024. However, the admission of such candidates will be provisional and subject to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Meghalaya MBBS 2024 Counselling Process
Application Form:
Candidates who wish to participate in the counselling of Meghalaya NEET 2024 will have to fill an offline application form. As per the prospectus, the duly filled up application forms can be placed in an envelope and dropped in at the box placed outside the Examination Cell, Director’s Block, NEIGRIHMS within the given deadline. The application form can be submitted by speed post as well. The application form will be submitted only when the exam fee is paid. Candidates will have to pay non-refundable INR 500 as application fee through bank challan. Candidates are advised to submit the original challan (NEIGRIHMS Copy) along with the Meghalaya MBBS application form and must keep the original challan (candidate’s copy) as proof of payment.
List of candidates eligible for screening
The competent authority will then release a list of all the candidates who had registered for the counselling of Meghalaya MBBS 2024 and were found to be eligible for it. This list will be available both online and offline. Candidates are advised to check the official websites regularly for such updates.
Screening Round/Document Verification
Candidates who have been included in the above list will have to report to any of the two screening centres, given below, on the designated date and time.

Meghalaya MBBS Counselling 2024: Bond-cum-Agreement
All candidates who have been nominated through the counselling of Meghalaya MBBS 2024 are required to sign a security bond with the Government of Meghalaya. Under this agreement, such candidates will have to serve the rural population for a period of 5 years after completing the MBBS degree. Violation of the bond/agreement will lead to a penalty of Rs 10 lakh. The bond should be executed on a Non-judicial Stamp of Rs 30. Meghalaya NEET Counselling 2024: Participating Institutes and Fee Structure
Candidates participating in the Meghalaya MBBS counselling 2024 will be applying for the seats offered by the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS).
